IPS?
by manavarth anweshi on Apr 15, 2009 11:27 AM

Those that heard Ashok Sahu responding to reporters on TV would know what a narrow mental space he comes from. After hearing his views on his political stand, for a moment I wondered how that man got IPS. But then, he just represents a bureaucracy that has also been communalized alongside the politics of this country. In a country notorious for its corruption, nepotism, communalism, socio-economic discrimination and inequality, unfits securing academic qualifications and getting into responsible positions is but passCertainly there are many more of his breed inhabiting the bureaucracy of this nation, misusing their power and position to perpetuate nothing but communal agenda.

Different Law for different People
by Tamal Das on Apr 15, 2009 11:22 AM  | Hide replies

It seems all the laws are made for BJP only whatever Mr Sahu have said that was earlier said by Sharad Pawer also. Mr Sahu make resposible the Christian for killing of Swami Laxmananda and Sharad make responsible the hindus for the bomb blast.
But nothing happen to Pawer.

The Orissa people should answer for this injustice in the ballot paper by voting not only for Mr Sahu, but for all the BJP candidates.

Absolutely right! It's scary to see how the India that I grew up in during the peacful 70's and 80's has changed so drastically. Back then, no one cared whether his/her friend/neighbor was Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Parsi, Sikh, Jain...mindsets here are slowly turning into that of Pakistan/Afghanistan

Question to sensible humans
by manavarth anweshi on Apr 15, 2009 11:02 AM

Comments in response to this news reveal the height of intolerance and pathological condition the communally minded sections of this country live in. It’s so very clear to any sensible human being with some common sense that religious bigots in this country are the greatest threat to this country than anything else. They live in a fancy world of their own creation – of distorted patriotism, false pride and grossly ill-founded socio-religious ideology. Question is, should such forces be allowed to hold a whole nation to ransom and destroy socio-political and economic progress of those that have an equal right to this nation and over the affairs of this planet?

Offer the other cheek- Mahatma didn't say
by Ramesh Sakhre on Apr 15, 2009 09:57 AM  | Hide replies

It was not Mahatma Gandhi who said-
"Offer the other cheek if somebody slaps you on one"

It was Jesus Christ who said it.

and he got dragged along the streets, and then killed in front of everyone!

hence, Hindus shouldn't follow such sick philosophies.

Yes. Jesus did get dragged. Got lashed. Got nailed. He even got spat on.

He did get killed. He did not complain. He prayed for forgiveness to those who killed Him.

It is up to you whether you treat that as something great, or you treat as a "sick philosophy". That shows one's mind set.

Whether hindus should do it or not- I don't want to comment. deep dar has commented.

But Christians, at least, try to follow it, and are not ashamed to try to follow it.

So, Ramesh Sakhre is one more of those who convert for a few bucks. Shame on you that you sold your religion for a few rupees.

Oh! You think so? You think I sold my religion for a few rupees? OK continue to think like that! You know that it was Hindu religion. (Which you feel I sold for a few rupees).

Now try to "buy" this new religion of mine. Just try it. See if I sell it for all the wealth one can manage!

That is the worth of my new religion, Vikas.

Everyone cannot be a Jesus Christ. Nor should they try. What messiahs did, if everyone starts to imitate, no doubt the world would be a better place. But things that happened those times, do not happen anymore. Its easy saying that, tough to follow in your own life. Proof : One word against your religion and you jump to the defence. Imagine if someone does a physical assault on you?

Guys,
If Jesus said this it makes sense because he was a saint. But gandhi was supposed to be a political leader. He had a duty to protect his country & people. But he tried to be a saint and resulted in death of thousands of indians.

Ashok Sahu se Bhay Ho!
by Jiggs on Apr 15, 2009 09:43 AM  | Hide replies

Ashokji Sahu is an Ex IPS officer, his last posting was as the DGP of Assam.
A highly educated and patriotic Indian, he chose the ONLY TRUE PARTY IN INDIA....THE B.J.P.
When people hear the real reason behind his arrest, the Psec thugs will hide like rats from this patriotic Indian.
Ashokji give the missionaries hell in Orissa, we are with you.
Jai Siya Ram!

what he has talked in public does not befit to his IPS status - he lowered himself and he tarnished image of other officers of same cadre. He is beyond repair and the only option is let him in custody till elections are over. We do not mind whether it is congress or bjp but politicians should maintain decency and decorum when faces public.

Nothing will happen. Navin Chawla, our new Chief Election Commissioner is a Congressi. Hence, planned framing of all BJP candidates going on. One-by-one, all good BJP candidates are being sidelined. But let us decide, whoever may contest on BJP seat, we will vote for him. Let BJP come to power, and see what they do to this Navin Chawla.
