Any good scheme from BJP is bad for media
by anjaneya on Apr 14, 2009 11:08 AM  | Hide replies

Yeddyurappa’s budget had encouraging news for several sections of the population — farmers, high school students, officials, researchers, patients, alike.

The decision to send 1000 farmers abroad on a study tour will expose them to different types of farming methods. Further a provision of Rs 750 crores as a support price for farm produce is good news.
Yeddi has given a fillip to ornamental fishery and has given an impetus to the establishment of goshalas for the protection of milch cattle. Extending free power to farmers with upto 10 HP pumpsets, introducing e-tendering to bring in transparency, allotting Rs 2 crore for reviving the river Arkavathy and establishing 500 foot bridges in the Malnad to bring connectivity to remote villages, are all heartening to note.

CM also deserves to be congratulated for providing free health insurance to poor families. Another noteworthy point, is the support given to the development of sandalwood cultivation, green villages and medicinal plants

BJPs Novel scheme – What did congress do in 60 years ZERO
by Kamadhenu on Apr 14, 2009 11:07 AM

Ladli Laxmi Yojana scheme was started by the BJP government in MP in 2006. In a very short time, it has proved to be one of the most successful social welfare schemes in the history of the state.

Under the scheme, the state government buys saving certificates of Rs 6,000 each year for five consecutive years for every girl born in a family.

The girl gets Rs 2,000 after she completes her Class 5, another Rs 4,000 after she completes Class 8, Rs 7,500 after she completes the Class 10, Rs 200 per month in her 11th standard and a lumpsum amount of Rs 1,18,000 after she enters the 12th standard or, alternatively, attains the age of 18.

The principal aim of the scheme is to eliminate school dropout among girl students and to encourage them to study at least upto pre-college level.

This is what I (as an Indian) call development of girl child; unfortunately no media will project this, but will project BJP as T@liban if some Sene beats a girl who goes to a pub only coz it happened in a state ruled by BJP. This bias is going to be the undoing of the Congress

Laudable effort by Modiji==regarding 25 lakh crore black money
by Lopesh S on Apr 14, 2009 11:06 AM  | Hide replies

As per recent news paper report on Times of India ,Ahmedabad ,Mr Narendra Modi ,CM of Gujarat is taking opinion vote from people from 2000 mobile vote counters from people of Gujarat and then to all India basis regarding fact of Indian black money in forign banks .His effort is laudable and he clearly says that this has no relation with current election. Iam giving an idea only to New Gov .Only good Gov with genuine intention can perform
Advaniji has started a debate on black money which no body including any political parties dare to raise last 60 years .Time has come now to legalise black money in our system .To bring 800 billion doller from swiss bank except terrorists money is not easy and we can say lot of things during election only but I think Gov should bring a bill towards legalising .We must understand that who ever keeps black money ,keeps for their rainy day ,others commitments like funding to political parties ,donations to all temples ,NGOs only . I am not supporting the fact but it is an untold storey .So we must recognise that Black money also hard earned money(means require skills and top class CAs to create black money) .To legalise black money Gov should give tax shop for a period say 3 years who ever declare and bring back money to India .Or alternatively Who ever invest black money to Gov bonds will get 2% interest annually of the total amount for a period of say 10 years without getting

All tall promises during elections. BJP, in their manifesto during assembly elections had promised to put efforts to reopen the old Airport in the city. Its more than 8 months since they are in power and they have conviniently forgotten their promise

Those who have ideas they govern
by RAJPAL YADAV on Apr 14, 2009 11:06 AM

Those who have ideas they govern - is the fact of life. These leaders have ideas and they govern us otherwise what makes everyone to vote for a leader who have criminal record? Have we not read about Lalu, Mulayam, Nitish, Sharad, DP Yadav etc that they have climbed upto this stature with their ideas only as they can convince people with their ideas to vote for them.

Another thing is - is it really so easy to become a MP/MLA? Mass base is required and at the end you should have idea to convince people to vote for you. Criminal cannot force to vote for him. In today's society, except some part of India, everyone is aware of his power. The utmost example is we all are writing on this article and are well versed that the leaders have gained a lot.

At the end, I would suggest a simple law be introduced wherein any individual, who have declared his worth - for example value of Farm House in Chattarpu, Delhi - 25 lacs - these types of property, which are being shown less valued be put for open sale to common man with base cost as mentioned by the poltician, bureucrate, businessmen or any other Gunda/ Mavali. Those who do not own a Car should not be provided any car and be forced to travel by Public Transport.

Only strict law with time limit to dispose off cases should be introduced and there should be no excuse for wrong declaration. The system will work efficiently and we will see great change. Only will power & a dictator can do so in India.

Why is Politics Exempted??????
by Sunny on Apr 14, 2009 10:59 AM  | Hide replies

Every profession ensures education is the base criteria for selection. Higher the education, beter is the position as well as salary.

Only in Indian politics does one see the reverse, least educated are the ones who are the most succesful.

3 point agenda for cleansing our political system :
1. Minimum edcuation qualification: Bachelors Degree
2. Mandatory retirement in active politics at the age of 60. Cannot contest for any position after this age.
3. No criminal record, whatsoever.

Does any political party have the wherewithal to implement these 3 pointers.

Every profession requires these 3 clauses catered to for qualifying, why is politics exempted???
