Why politics is India's most lucrative profession.
by Marthandarao on Apr 14, 2009 12:17 PM

Yes I agree. But who will agree for all these points for cleansing politics, because they(the netas)are the implementer of these rules. How they implement these, are they ready to throw the rock on there own legs.?

make everyone accountable, someone do accident out of careless, victim shoulld be compensated for whole life, children be given whole help,, making criminal work hard,, this shouldbe law,,
why foreing policedot beat, they fine heavely , any sensible people dare not involve in any wrong doing, somewhere, some time , some one should have demarketed area of responsible ,,it should be responsibly of manager, area manager and other responible for any fraud, crime in their area, otherwise be ready for hafty compensation to victim, like we have in usa,,,
everyone life should be secureed by 50 lakhs compensation but whole money should be got thorugh perpetuator of crime, irresponsiblity,,like newzealand, austrilia works,,

Sounds good. But what about 60% of population who dont have credit cards. What abt more than half of India where there is no online access. And what abt the huge databases involing 100 crore people ? Till so much of basic infrastructure is not in place, it will just be a pipe dream. Population of Australia and N.Zealand is maybe 5% of ours, so its easier for them to invest on such things. But in India that's not the case. Many do not even have food, education, basic healthcare. So till we control our population growth ourselves we cant do much abt it.

ther are may things doable..not the the exact degree mentioned but following can be done
- the government payments to contractors should be only to bank accounts no chequeues no DDs no cash..that it self will help in curbing a hell of a lot of black money..
- Make teaching for primary kids.. a part time procession for graduate and undergraduate students with a decent payment .. that can solve the issue of lack of primary school teachers in villages (to what ever extent it can)
many more small things can be done ... can anyone think of more ?

The chain of free money
by R on Apr 14, 2009 11:48 AM  | Hide replies

Nothing gets done in bureaucracy for free. From highest to the lowest cadre make free money. It is in their blood. We need freedom from these corrupt Indians - bureaucrats, politicians. Once the politicians get elected, they get unlimited source of free money.

Privatisation is not the panacea for all our problems. Whether public sector or pvt. sector, man is always greedy, and if there is no control over that, corruption will always exist. Its just that it takes different forms in the pvt. and public sectors. Why did U.S face this crises...when they had privatisation in every field ? Bcos the greed was always there. So they kept on spending, lending, going to war to earn more oil and money, to a point that the economy could no longer sustain the greed. I guess man has to change more than just the economy.

the biggest criminals are sarkari babu's
by bhaskar on Apr 14, 2009 11:47 AM  | Hide replies

All the laws that are made, flawed and amended is the work of high profile babu's sitting next to ministers.

They make the law for people to follow where as they themselves harness the wealth . They cannot be removed forcibly so only solutions is to kill them..

To blame politicians for everything, is like creating convinient punching bags. In India, we people have the habit of creating punching bags - politicians, police, judiciary, beauracracy....the list is endless. We forget that the man in the seat, whether politician, policeman, judge or a corrupt attender in a govt. dept, is very much a common man like us. He has come from this very country, he is not an import from another country. It is the common man who jumps the traffic signal day in, day out, takes short cuts, bribes officials to build unauthorised buildings, splits and shits on the roadside ...and so on. The politicians are just reflecting our own nature, bcos they have come from the same land and culture. Agreed there are many failures in the system as well. So the Indian voters are like a bunch of shabby men in front of a cracked mirror, who keep only blaming the mirror for their poor reflection. So I think that everyone including the people, system and our polititians have to take the blame for the mess around us.

AP is the key!!!!!!!!!!!
by ravi krishnan on Apr 14, 2009 11:41 AM

The last five years of the Congress rule in AP has been a party time for almost all the bove mentioned folks except the common man....the poor have been fattened up on doles which have made them hardly selfsufficinet but get addicted to the vices.....each govt.employee is working overtime to ensure this party continues as it has been a case of " lets all milk""""" They would HATE to see Chandrababu Naidu return, as he did bring about a huge amount of accountability amongst the govt. employees.....unfortunately we realise that Governance alone doesnt win elections but money booze & all sops does......sigh!!!!!! Infact it is being said that AP tops the list of Crorepati netas even at the Assembly level....no wonder most of the funds for the party hi command comes from here
