Government must distribute rice or wheat at Rs 3 per kg
by New York on Apr 14, 2009 06:35 PM

Government must distribute rice or wheat at Rs 3 per kg per to poor because
* Will have a CASCADING effect on remaining food items and will help in reducing the prices and inflation.
* Will create DEMAND for agricultural products and will PREVENT farmers suicide.
* Will prevent 350 million Indians STARVING every day for a 2nd meal.

Congress dont care for common man lives
by Vikas Vadgama on Apr 14, 2009 03:40 PM  | Hide replies

All m#d#rch#d media flashing on TV screens during 26/11: "PM said no compromise with terrorist." "Sonia says we will deal strict with them" and other such idiotic statements. I ask SG & MMS, if a high profile Congress politician or Rahul Gandhi or any one related to SG, Rahul or Priyanka would have been trapped in Taj or Oberoi, would have the Congress & the PM taken same stand & same actions. They dealt strict with terrorist becuase none of their known was there in the hotels. In fact, we should appreciate Mr. Vajpayee & Mr. Advani that they gave a thought & importance to normal civilians lives.

Rs.72,000 crore siphoned
by Vikas Vadgama on Apr 14, 2009 03:21 PM  | Hide replies

UPA dakaared Rs.72,000 crores in the name of farmer loan waivers. But fact is farmers all over India, in all states, still continue to committ suicides. No help has reached them. All Rs.72,000 crores eaten away by Congress in Swiss bank & some portion for election propoganda. Let us throw away this corrupt party in upcoming elections.

Mr. Baap, it looks you are a coward to hide your real identity.
Secondly, during NDA rule, there were very rare incidents of farmers committing suicides.
Thirdly, if BJP leaders would have been siphoning money like Congress, then Mr. Advani would not have asked Swiss bank to disclose the Indian accounts. The reason why UPA does not support this Swiss bank issue because all their scams will come in public.

shcokingly false!
by GR D on Apr 14, 2009 02:40 PM  | Hide replies

this report is shocking, i am from chattisgarh and there is no such problem as reported in this report. The govt here in chattisgarh is providing all help and benefits to the farmers and poor people.Cheap food to poor, and high purchase price to their yield.Round the clock electricity, adequate subsidy. What more can a govt do? we dont expect them to come and farm on our behalf too.It is the duty of the farmers too to take care of their expenses and to save for rainy days. And most importantly, this report is all false and biased.wonder why its here on election eve.Shameful yellow journalism.

In a sher-o-shayari mushaira:
Pakistani: "Naa yeh zameen thi, na aasman tha, tab mera khuda beithke hukka pi raha tha."
Indian: "Naa yeh zameen thi, na aasman tha, tab tera khuda kya mere land pe baithke hukka pi raha tha."
