Irony
by Chenthil Natarajan on Apr 14, 2009 12:38 AM

What I really don't understand is, the government is providing free electricity, subsidy for urea, justifiable price for paddy/wheat, debt cancellation. Do any one ever heard of any country offering their people such luxuries?

Where the flaw actually is? I guess, the only solution for this problem might be that the agricultural ministry must divide a district into zones, setup reform commities in each and every zone, inspect the land capable for irrigation, educate farmers on how to cultivate/irrigate to get the maximum benifit out of a particular landlimit(Say for a Acre), What kind of crops to irrigate on a particular season, what kind of urea, weed emimination techniques to be used, effective use of water utilization like DWI (Drop water irrigation) etc.

The zonal officers should be given training on how crop cultivation is being done in countries where there is water/ irrigatable land shortage. These commities must have tie-ups with the agricultural universities within the state to get the latest updates on what is going on in the Agricultural R&D sector within the country and abroad and what latest techniques have been invented to maxmise the cultivation.

These Zonal officers must interact with farmers on weekly basis and prepare the status reports on every week. The zonal officers should act quick elimnating the problems the farmers put across in the weekly meeting.

Please vote for the best candidate irrespective of Caste,Creed, region, religion, fraudulent propoganda etc.
Some of us, have the feeling that if I vote for the best candidate and he is any way going to lose, why vote for him.
Please, please .. we should not do this mistake again.
Please vote for the right candidate no matter he wins or not. Once you vote for right candidate, the self satisfaction you get is unbelievable and outstanding.
Sometimes I feel,Media is the biggest culprit to put you in dilemma by deciding themselves this candidate is going to win.
No. We are the decision makers.

Instead of praising an honest piece of journalism like this there are people out here who see it purely through the narrow spectrum of politics. They are only busy in painting a rosy picture of their state where none exists. Instead of getting off their fat a**es and doing something about helping the needy these arm-chair analysts are busy currying favor for their respective parties. This is really awesome!!!

WTF??? I don't belong to any party you moron !! I am an equal-opportunity basher of all the parties be it BSP,SP, left, Congress or you very own BJP. It's becoz of people with insular approach like you who do not wish to confront the reality and want to run away from it, that this country lags behind.

You cannot verify 90% of the news that reaches you daily. It doesn't mean that they are all white lies.

some thing must be wrong
by rajat sharma on Apr 13, 2009 11:39 PM

recently BJP came back in the power for state govt. with much better figure than past time, the noteworthy fact is that Chhattisgarh is mostly a rural and tribal state and it is not possible for any political party to come back in the power after five years of governance with out the support of farmer, and being a native of durg. chhatisgarh I would like to add that nothing such incident is reflected by any of news paper here, is it possible that if such a scenario exist and not even a single news paper or regional news channel will report. I don't know what is the purpose of such an devious report at such an sensitive time.
