You should know that Hinduism is a way of life and not a religion. Islam and Christianity are new entrants and that caused the necessity to create religions. Historically - as P-secularists also agree - Xianity is just over 2000 years old and islam is much younger. So if a muslim are Xtian realise their mistake and correct themseleves, what is the issue?

What India really needs a leader like Vladimir Putin. First of all clean up these Congress, BJP, BSP and other parties. Target the leaders and put them behind bars for indefinite period. Assassinate some leaders like Jagdish Tytler etc. Reform the Indian politics by rewriting the Constitution and redefining the whole Administration (IAS), Police and Judiciary powers. Implement zero tolerance policy towards henious crimes and rapes with a death sentence. Reform the people (weed of laziness and indiscipline) like Japanese, Russians and Chinese as an example. Build up the Nationalism among the people of India. Bring in stringent and effective foreign policies when dealing with our self interests and putting rogue countries like Pakistan at this place! Is there any leader in India who is capable of taking such a challenging job? It takes at least 10 years of very good reforms as mentioned above. Nothing is impossible to do, that's how great countries like Japan, China, Russia etc have done.

In Search, you might be right. I never thought of it that way till now...but even though I am abroad (for studies and then job purpose like you), I was brought up in a remote part of India and I have seen the ugliness and rigging during elections. It has made a mockery out of democracy. Also there is hardly any patriotic Indian...once in the ruling party, they are all out to reap the benefits. I am also sick of all the reservation kinda talks...and complaints. We already have a lot of justified reservations..what else do we need? If small town people like me can study and make their own lives, why is half the population alwats cribbing and complaining and demanding? Someday India is gonna collapse under all the reservations.
Probably a dictator is all we need now.. :) to jerk us off our slumber.

Thank you but am serious. I am sure you must an youngster like me watching the degrading standards of the Politics and Politicians. Slowly people are getting fed up with the Democracy and becoming a failure. For instance, I really wonder how come a Constitutional body like Election Commission hold the elections in peak summer time when the voting % itself is slowly coming down? I think it would be working day (s) there in India that time? See, as you know youth are losing interest and a working day. Plus, people are fed up and peak summers. I don't see any sense at all. And, there is every day drama happening in India be it from Politicians or People or EC. People here in US ask me how come Indian officials manage to conduct free and fair elections and try to push up the voting percentage? I said, I don't there is any such officer left as watchdog as they silently suffer or end up as puppets dancing for politicians do (like the Navin Chawla case).
If we the people in overseas or in the mainland like see India as a real good country in terms of HDI ranking then this system is NOT for us. I can never work am very sure of that (to my best experience). What do you think?
