This columnist is only a calumnist who has unleashed a smear campaign against Varun. What has Varun's educational or family background got to do with the charges he is facing now? If Sanjay Gandhi was bad, so what? How's it relevant now in Varun's case. Now what has this Prafulla Bidwai got to say about Lalu Prasad Yadhav known for his unprintable expletives hurled at bureaucrats in public? Does he know that there is a fanatical fringe in TN famous for the incendiary graffiti that Brahmin women should be declared public property?? I want more articles from rabid JNU and Jamia Milia communalists like Prafulla Bidwai so that Hindus across the country will wake up from their deep slumber. Muslims are not a threat, it is only psuedo secularists who are out to finish both secularism and democracy in one stroke

In 20 years time Hindus will become minority and we can merge ourseleves with Pakistan, It is all the creation of politicians for their vested vote bank. BJP is communal as they support Hindus, Congress is secular as it is supporting Muslims,

Is it breach of secularism to use word HINDU, is it breach of secularism to say HINDUS will be protected.Does secularism only means welfare of MUSLIMS, and their personal laws. Then why not implement Sharia for Muslims. Secularism only means "HAJ SUBSIDY" and troubles for "Amarnath Travellers". why does not congress makes Mr SACHHAR find out what is the represntation of minority(read Muslims)in criminal gangs and Terrorist organisations. My dear Sir, Muslims are no different from other human beings. You do not need to give them subsidies and reservations. You have to give them education. The only way that can be done is to educate and strengthen MUSLIM WOMEN. Remove these personal LAWS. Ensure that MUSLIM Women get educated and strong.You will see a qualitative change in Muslim society and this yearning to be identified separately from other Indians will vanish. HOPE POLITICIANS rise above there petty methods.

As Hindus, we have always been willing to alter our social customs in keeping with the changing times. Take untouchability, temple entry for Harijans, child or widow marriage,polygamy, inheritance, sathi- in all these issues whatever legislation was enunciated the Hindu soceity took it albeit with some initial resistance. But Muslims will like to go only by the book and not the constituion as evident from the Shah Banu case of the 80s. This is the tragedy. We have several Roman Catholic priests openly preaching against Family Planning (that includes the great Mother Teresa too!)All the anti-national practices will be tolerated in the name of democracy, freedom of expression or secularism. What we need is a democracy which goes beyond rights to educate people on responsibilities and enforce them too
