It appears that main reason of failure of top 5 batsmen was to be too defensive. Even if you are not in a hurry to score, and, want to spend some time on the crease, one has to show some aggression in the batting, to avoid bowler gaining too much confidence to trouble you.

A person who does not know how to guide a team cannot be a coach. First and 4thtest were ours for the asking but Shastri could not guide the teamHe became a coach due to Kohli's politics in getting Komble removed.

BCCI should think very seriously and remove Sastry from coaching job , if Kohli did some tantrum drop him also from captaincy . We want some pride in losing the test matches , lose the battle fighting not like submitting so meekly . If old guys are failing give chance to new talent like Hanuma , Prithwi , Karan Nair etc . Any how India is losing but some talent will come out . Drop Dhawan, Rahul,Ajinkya,Pandya etc
