Rift between coach and captain
by t prasad on Jun 02, 2017 04:09 PM

These days the players think they are the super demons who can do what thy want, how they want an wher they want. They are beome more and more aggressive on the field by showing nasty gestures towards other players when they get bowled or caught or made run outs. It is better to drop these kind of players and get good players

Virat Kohli - turning politician?
by Bharat Kumar on Jun 02, 2017 03:55 PM

Why wouldn't or shouldn't Virat accept Kumble's recommendation of Kuldeep? Who knows cricket, more pertinently, spin bowling better?

As much as one admires Virat for his performance, one also wonders, if he is like Sachin. Not to discredit anyone, but to do a natak that they care more about India and no one else does, speaks of a political mindset.

Ajinkya Rahane to Virat Kohli, is like Laxman or Dravid to Sachin - he will be forever fearful of competition and comparison, which he wants to put down as quickly as possible. That is unacceptable, but we have the public who are suckers for anyone doing one jhalak

Being in the CoA, why is Guha backing off..?
by Sanjeev Gupta on Jun 02, 2017 03:51 PM  | Hide replies

This is the challenge.. passing buck to others.. resigning is easy..SC knew all such discrepancies and had appointed some responsible citizens for CoA.. SC had appointed him to fix these issues.. and he is now resigning.. very unfortunate action from such a responsible and learned citizen..
It was also his responsibility to fix the issues being in CoA..? Why has he not fixed it, and he has resigned.. Not sure why does he now expect the other 3 members in CoA to fix it..? If not he then why the other 3..

Look at the timing too. A person like Guha must not add fuel to fire. Now the team will concentrate on the play or on the politics?. Deft managers are needed now. This only shows knowledge of cricket play alone can not make one a good administrator of cricket.

You are absolutely right.. But then what was he doing for so many months in that position.. Why do these people accept such responsibilities if they cannot do justice to it.. May be some other responsible person could have done a better job, and we would be better off now..

BCCI
by Joseph Easo on Jun 02, 2017 03:48 PM

BCCI is made to feed few people and make them rich by cricketing or becoming commentators. Why Gavaskar, Shatri, Ganguly, Sehwag ,Sachin etc. etc are enjoying under BCCI. They already have earned huge amount money for doing nothing. Making few runs in cricket and getting some wicket in the game of cricket will not add gold coins to our country's future. The earnings from cricket is eaten by few people and they are becoming rich by befooling the jobless cricket viewers in the ground or at home in TV. Right.

Kohli as captian
by satya saka on Jun 02, 2017 03:24 PM

Rahane is a quite cool guy. raina is well tempered. but Kohli should mellow down his reactions. Look at Dhoni. a fall of wicket he is cool. looks at the bowler o fielder and thanks them.. This type of temperament must be cooled down to help the game develop. RCB disaster is to be noted down

Big Deal
by Sunil Bhandari on Jun 02, 2017 03:18 PM  | Hide replies

Come down to the real world...we are not living in utopia. Former players have done great service to Indian cricket. Current team members are also fine and doing a pretty decent jobs. Dravid has done a fantastic job as coach of India A. Everything is going along fine...Where is the problem ??

Going by Guha's logic, Sachin, Ganguly etc should not be selecting coaches as the applicants are their former teammates/friends...why no one questioned when Kumble was picked by them..you can find conflict of interest in some way or other in every sphere of life which actually is not a conflict at all..if the bottomline is good..such unnecessary issues should not be raised.
2 individuals like Kolhli & Kumble may have conflict between each other and if one is to go then naturally Kumble has to leave as Kohli is the best current batsman (risen up the ranks through hard work & talent and not through some influence)...so that fine, what's the big deal, some other person will take his job..of corse Kohli should have veto power as he has to work with the coach everyday

Very simple
by wcpak on Jun 02, 2017 03:16 PM  | Hide replies

If Kumble has to go, Kohli should also be sacked for his arrogance. Why does he want only RJS to be the coach? Who is Kohli to decide the coach? RJS is to be blamed for spoiling Kohli who was already a bad boy. Sack Kohli and we have many more talents waiting to play for India.

Ravi Shastri and Gavaskar are real suspects..they found the control slipping from maharashtra and subtly playing it up..don't be surprised if Bharat ratna Sh Sachin Tendulkar Saheb is requested to cast a kind eye on the miserable state of affairs of Indian cricket, messed up by the people from down south
