No one can take place of an individual who is having his own identity, yes they can create their own identity. Same is here, we can not compare sachin with Virat or Virat with Sachin. Both are telanted bats mans one has already proved and another is proving.
it is rightly said, records are made to break, so lets see what will happen in future. First Gavaskar crossed 10000 mile stone then many more have crossed it, Sachin who set a mile stone of 15000, it may happen one fine it will be broken by someone, may be Virat or other.
See the records made first time are not getting forgotten by the people, they remember it. David Headly who set a mark of 371 first. Lara Scored 400, Gavaskar score 10K and 34 centuries, so comparison will continue, it never ends.
so wish all the best to Sachin for his retired life and Virat for his career, and should wait for what will happen in future.

As far as technique is concerned even the greatest of them all Sir Don Bradman had declared publically that Sachin's technique was flawless & it reminds him of his own technique.
For nearly 3/4'th of the matches which he had played during his time, Sachin was literally ONE MAN SHOW in the side. Whenever he failed to deliver, India used to lose the game.
Also it's so foolish & ignorant on your part to compare SRT with Virat especially when considering the quality of bowling SRT faced during his time & the quality of bowling Kohli is facing now. SRT faced one of the best bowlers of all time with the likes of MACGRATH, WARNE, LEE, AKRAM, WAQUAR, SAQLAIN, DONALD, VAAS, MURALI, AMBROSE, WALSH ETC. compared to those bowlers what is the quality of todays bowlers ? Can you name any of the today's bowler who can even come closer to these bowlers ?
Also, quality of the pitches those days in the late 90's & 2000's was far better than today's. Australia, SA, England & NZ pitches were far more faster, bouncier & extremely difficult to bat on those days than they are now. These days, the pitches have became more & more batting friendly.
So, show some cricketing sense & improve your overall knowledge of cricket before expressing your hatred for Tendulkar.

Though Kohli is one of the best batsmen in the world along with Steve Smith, Joe Root & Kane Williamson, he has a long long way to go to consider himself even on equal terms with SRT forget surpass him.
To be honest, the pitches of Australia & South Africa are completely FLAT & in complete contrast of what they were once used to be & it's evident in the feast of runs both teams pile on during Australia tour.
But when India toured England 2 years ago & when bowl was swinging a bit both ways, Kohli was a complete failure in that tour. He had absolutely NO ANSWER to James Anderson's swing bowling & got out every time cheaply in similar manner. So, let him prove his mettle consistently all over the world for 10-15 years & then we will compare.

Sachin already told he likes virat and rohit who believes that they will broke his records. so we believes that Sachin is Sachin and Virat will be Virat. Give them space i agree with Mr P Wiillams .
Why do we always have to compare one cricketer with another. Each one has his own style, temperament, etc. Are all the fingers of the same size. Sachin is Sachin and Virat will be Virat. Give them space. Our mentality will never change. When they are in good form, they will be praised sky high. When they go through a bad patch, all sorts of unwanted comments will be raised. Leave them alone and allow them to play the game the way they always play.
