You mean to statistics will prove Sashtri was better cricketer than Ganguly or has contributed more to Indian cricket. Please check Sastri's record and compare that with Ganguly. In last 7 years of his cricket career Sashtri had to hear Hai Hai in every stadium
Ravi Shatri need not cry over such issue. He has already enough of his share enjoyed, now let others play the game...His approach and attitude look quite non-professional, greedy. I have never seen in my corporate life of 30 years if any one has ever been allowed to get interviewed while enjoying vacation overseas

Ravi Shastri is not "miffed", he is just disappointed. In today's global world where virtual communication is the call of the day, what is wrong if he made his interview over Skype. His point is clear- if the panel was to be fair, why was Mr. Ganguly away? And guys do not talk about Ganguly. He was one of the most rude cricketers ever. Arrogant- remember taking off shirt at Lord's. Unthinkable. He never respected the players of older generation. Ravi has made his point and moved on.

Taking the shirt off at Lord's balcony made a brave statement that we Indians have arrived, we are here to win, can't be run down. Lord's authority doesn't allow photography at that balcony. If that was allowed, innumerable Indians would have taken a selfie there with their shirts off
There are few cricketer like Ravi/Gavasker are taking lot of advantage from BCCI over a period because of their proximity to few top at BCCI. Being panel of BCCI as well as TV channel. Kumble is the right choice.
In our Office we are looking for a Sales Manager. We don't need much interview. Can we request Mr Shastri to apply without any delay. He is indeed living in Fool's world as rightly said by dada.
