Kumble's selection as a team coach is perfect one ! Shastri's performance is no where near to Kumble's. It is better if shastri support to kumble for the betterment of team performance !
As somebody mentioned rightly that Ravi is a mediocre player and his only success was to win that Audi car. His intrigue and politics are well known and he has entered the BCCI sanctum by various means and his tantrums during his playing days were also nauseating
Ravi is the most liked Hero among the Indians. And Kumble is deemed as the most intelligent cricketer till date we have. It is very difficult for an Indian to choose between them. Ravi lost the chance of becoming the head coach of Indian cricket team.I am to say that he should have accepted it without much hoopla and with grace. We expect such valiant jesture from the owner of first AUDI car in India.
He is not a loser as he has gained a lot by making India suffer under his management. Now, after losing the opportunity to damage it more, he has just opened his ugly mouth once again
I never admired Shastri remember him as a Tukur Tukur batsman , remained in team due to his being from Bombay & BCCI always favored Bombay based players.
In my view, the composition of the committee for the selection of coach itself is not right. Both Sachin and VVS are part of the IPL franchisees. the moment the committee was announced, i knew that someone to do with MUmbai Indians would get it. Same thing happened. Ravi Shastri was given a raw deal. Sourav not being there is unfair. That means the Committee pre-decided in favor of Kumble and went through the process for formality sake. the association with Mumbai Indians really prejudiced the entire selection process. Ideally the Committee should have consisted of people who have nothing to do with any of the Franchisees. Am not against Kumble. But the process is wrong, biased and prejudiced

Totally agree that the process of selection of coach is flawed. Ganguly said the Coach's job is the most important one in cricket. Then why did he prefer the CAB Meeting to the Selection interview?
It is rare sight where one person comes as a combo package. Our own RJS had this feature in him. He bowled left arm off cutter & Batted right arm. He delivered under pressure for his team, whenever the team overlooked for his performance, more often than not he succeeded in both areas of batting / bowling. The fact that he was crowned \"CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS\" in the 1985 one day world series, is in itself sufficient to do the talking. A slow starter, had the bundle of energy stored within to attack the opposition destroying their confidence & makig the inning ways easy or his team & India. His execution of shots was impeccable & made batting look so easy. His Glance down the ground crossed the ropes more often. A stylish Batsman/BOWLER 6\'2\" tall, toned body etc attracted other Gender , Hence he had a huge Female Fan Following. His statistical figures in both formats are also excellent. I am proud to say he is a \'Mangalorean\'. Let SMS Bless U on this special day 1/7/2016
