If Ravi Sashtri introspects his career, he will realize that he was always luck to receive more than what he gave to Indian Cricket, thats why he is reacting bcoz he feels that Indian cricket will always be run by Flamboyant Mumbaikars. Wake up Ravi, your time is over......go & coach a IPL team first dont gather laurels on Kohli's hard work.

Couldn't agree more w/u on this... Have maintained that Shastri has been the luckiest cricketer in the world...shocked me when he was preferred by BCCI for the "Team Director" position after Duncan Fletcher. What does he know about coaching in the highly competitive environment of nowadays? He comes from an era that didn't know anything about T20s remember?
Not only bad but cunning. These Bombay x-players are accustomed to continue to enjoy costly assignments even after career which is of little relevance barring Sir Tendulkar, more than their share / contribution to Indian Cricket. Take the cases of other players of other states, what they got in-turn?
Shastri has never given Sourabh his due. Shastri can not get along well with everyone. Shastri has never given respect to cricketers from Bengal.Above all, Shastri was a never a great leader himself on the field.
By the way, what is this all interviewing business..... where kids question a grown up? I think this was wrong. A person should have been just selected based on his credentials as a player, good team man, and good manager. Totally wrong to criticize Shastry here..... Gangulay is hte most egoistic person I have seen in an Indian team till date, self-centered, feeling he is above all.... taking all the credits.... etc.

F U Sunil, in a professional environment even a 25 to 30 year old sometimes has to interview people elder than him. Ravi should thank his stars that he was atleast interviewed by cricketers and not people like Pawar or Shulka or Jaitley.
