He was sacked not because he was unable to make any presentation but he did not performed from last 1 year.

That is different. However India management won't need any presentation mango people and media of India know everything where we lack and what needs to be done to improve the performance ;)

Arthur - Indian Man of the series

Now that India is expected to easily wrap up this series, their Man of the series award should go to Micky Arthur.

Was that a joke or just part of the national epidemic - being cynical?

A truncated Aussie Team
by subhash phadkar on Mar 11, 2013 03:59 PM

There must be a split in the Team spirit of the Australians the reasons dont justify the sacking.James Pattinson is a good pace bowler,he would have been very destructive in Mohali and Delhi pitches.India should take full advantage and should not lose their momentum to wrap the series in Mohali itself.

This is absolutely extraordinary. While it sounds like the coach has gone over board - I just love this act of discipline. I cant imagine anything like this will ever happen with Indian cricket. Well, when you play a team game you need to come together for the team. Good job - Mickey

Indian cricket does not need anything like this. With rival teams doing this, Indian team is bound to win in any case.

Ravi Shankar,
Why would you say that?

Accept the fact that we played better cricket and it was a hard fought victory so far. So no question of these discipline. This is common sense. Don't you understand?

Yes this is extraordinary in terms of foolishness. And yes it will never happen with indian team, because we still believe that you need to work on your technique to improve and not by making power point presentations.
Imagine, all Ranji players attending Microsoft classes on how to make ppt to help improve their games

Sehwag
by Jitesh Agrawal on Mar 11, 2013 03:45 PM

Bring in Sehwag immediately, he can blast a double century against the lesser exp bowlers and can enjoy his place in the team for 3 more series.

Can BCCI and Indian coach can ever act in such a manner?????? Must be a nut to even think of it.

I don't think they dominated because the players were making presentations. It is more because the players before were more dedicated and knows how to play in Indian conditions.

I still think that decision is taken because they wanted to show management has nothing to do with players performances.

Cheers

This shows why aussie will never dominate cricket now. Taylor, Waugh never made presentations.
And what should BCCI learn ? To have a PPL (Power Point League) competition ?

Why sack the players?
by Pramod Sharma on Mar 11, 2013 03:41 PM  | Hide replies

It is the coach's job to give clues and provide guidelines to the players in difficult situations. Here Arthur is entrusting his own duties to the players. If he is himself clueless he should quit as a coach. The players are already a lot of stress and taking such an action would make them more vulnerable. It is a disgusting move!

These players have been playing cricket from when they were 4-6 years old and might have played 1000s of mathes. They have a responsibility too.
