yes something like this happened in indian team and yest greg chappell took a lot of flak for that from the indian players and fans
This has been done on purpose to make Indian Team feel easy now and make them over confident, and thus perform poorly in Mohali test, see the result of this now!!

........& on the day of the match all 4 players would be present on the field.....& the aussie mgt would say that they have reversed their decision.........!!!
utter nonsense and a tickle in the bone for those who take such decisions under current circumstances... what sense does it make for you playing cricket and making presentations? presentations should be left to the management... does the mgmt make such presentations on their performances? Loosing your star performers just for a presentation... India full on... 4-0 in no doubt...

Mgtm will make their presentations (copy paste)after the team players make the presentations.
Can such action will ever be taken by the coach or Manager of Indian Team? Never. They can, at best, can send their report to the Cricket Board which will look in to the matter of discipline, if required. This is not applicable to senior and defunct players who still enjoy a place in the team, shamelessly, inspite of series failures, as they have Board support in addition to their fans support based on their region and caste.
LOL... seems funny..strange decision under the fact that they are 2-0 down.. a warning could have been better..pretty school boy type... i dont see a chance here for india. but pity upon the selectors and management...
