Yes, Sachin started opening innings only in 1994. Check google if you have doubt.

Just like common sense right now not avelabale good baller is world but sachin time like glenn mcgrath, shane warne, muttiah,Washim,waqar younis,Shane Bond, Sohib,Saklin,Malcolm Marshall,curtly Ambrose,Courtney Walsh: and a lot off.

dont forget that kohli bats up the order and has a greater chance to face many number of deliveries. a chance that is not available to dhoni often....
the more one bats up the order the more chance he has to bat through the 50 overs and hence to score big....the one coming down the order does not therefore have so much chance to score 100s and most people only remember players with most no. of 100s.
also the more one comes up in the chase the more runs they can get to make in the chase...and many times when lower order batsmen comes to the crease not many runs are left to make...so they have chance of scoring only those no. of runs...
also let me point out that despite the fact that sachin in his 463 odis has batted at position below 4 (i.e at position 5 or lower than that) only 41 times. conversely dhoni in his career of 226 odis so far has batted at no 1-4 positions only 36 times. still dhoni has completed 6000 odis runs and 7000 odi runs in LESS no. of innings than sachin. that tell a lot about whether dhoni makes runs or not...
We have to see in longer terms. It's not easy to carry your good form for many years consistently. Look at Ponting what he did in his last 4-5 years. Let us see what he does as captain of India, because it is toughest job in world cricket. I have seen how Dravid, Ganguly and many other captains chocked under captaincy pressure.

who wants great batsman name. wants only match winners. Jayasurya won one world cup for india eventhough he is not named as best batsaman than sachin. even somebody plays only one match, let him contribute for the winning. need not scratch the seat for 20 years for your personal record

1996 wolds cup. Sachin is Top scorer at 523 runs with average of 87. Sachin is one man army with no support. In semifianl Indian made 120 out which 65 scored by sachin.
Jayasurya is supported by good players like aravinda, arjuna, murali. Sachin has none at that time.
U need to Ask selectors to make a call if u do not want a player.
Sourav Ganguly is quite quicker than Tendulkar. In one day format really Ganguly was a good player. He took 38 less innings than Tendulkar to get 1st 15 centuries.

dada is opener in ODIs... sachin is 6th or 7th down untill his first 75 mathces. i guss u were following criket in early 90s.

sachin promoted to opening, when no opening batsman was there.. ganguly promoted to opening as he failed in middle order like rohit sharma. dada said, i got success in opening bcz of sachin, sachin used to play fast and ganguly role to just stay on the wicket. when opening also, ganguly used to get duck out on yorkers while facing opening overs, again sachin took opening over to settle down ganguly. go and check you tube videos or statistics, if u not trust.

So Dhoni is better than Tendulkar, coming at 5th or 6th down also he scores 100 and Tenduldar......
