but there is a point to look into.... sachin started playing as opener only from 70th match.. till that he was playing middle order sometimes 6th sometimes 7th etc.. thats why he was late

Hey Naveen, Be realistic and practical. In those days there was no exposure to indian batsman to fast bolwers and foreign conditions. Performing in front of those conditions without any prior experience was a bog deal. Many batsman used fear facing fast bowlers. TOday all these players have exposure to IPL/ Club Crickets/ bowling m/c etc. Naveen it's easy to comment on others. By the way who are you? and what have you achieved in life? which Sachin achieved? Anything of that sort? I am sure - no way near to him.
man, u can,t compare with sachin. sachin has scored centuries at that time, when other players, be his team mates or opposition, were not scoring centuries. remember those days score of 250 were safe. top score in a match were usually 60-70. now even if u r 4 or 5 down for 50, u reach 250 on 9 out of 10 times. and in almost every match there is a centurion. why? the game has shifted towards batsmen. batsmen gonna rule now! Now u see Kulasekhara scoring 70, malinga 50. kohli is lcky to be in this phase. similarly sachin record would have been even better. praise Kohli, but don,t belittle sachin. because yardsticks are changed.

I disagree with you. 1)If you think the eras are different then we must give that benefit to pre sachin era players too who were new this oneday format. The era argument cannot be made as sachin lived in the same era as Jayasurya who used to massacre the opposition bowlers and win match for his country and We has sachin who would get a uselss 100 and finaly the Indian team would loose. 1)Sachin got more 100s due to his slow batting. Even the staunch opponents of sachin will say 50 of is hundreds are for the winning cause. let me clear it for you. On all those occassions other players in the team better than him. Bowlers performed exceptionally well or other batsmen performed match winning knocks.
sachin in his long career of 463 odis played at no 5 or lower than that 41 times scoring ZERO 100s and 6 scores of 50 plus...his stats of those 41 odis are 41 matches 41 innings 9 not out 965 runs highest 82* average 30.15
dhoni is his career of 226 odis so far, has batted at positions 1 to 4 36 times scoring 3 100s and 16 50s. his stats of those 36 odis are 36 matches 36 innings 9 not out 2001 runs highest 183* average 74.11

and his most shocking innings was his 100th century...he took nearly half of the 50 overs to score his century...as a result of which we lost...if dhoni sehwag kohli were there they would have tried to score fast in the interest of the team and if they get century fine otherwise it is still ok...but sachin placed his 100th century above his team interest...
Sachin took 10 years to get 15 hundreds that to at a slow run rate. Kohli is a better shot maker than this rotten egg sachin.He made his debut only 4 years ago. Kohli too batted in the lower middle order initially. Kohlis knocks have come for winning cause. Where as Sachin is well known for his snail slow hundreds which come for loosing cause. Sachin was a great player when he faced Zimbabwe, keenya and bangladesh attack. Sehwag's innings were most of the time for winning cause even if it is just a 35. But this rotten egg known as Sachin who is most celebrated for his useless knocks which were for his personal records has enjoyed all the acolades. Like our politicians are popular all over india though they are anti national, Sachin too is a popular and an anti national eliment as his knocks were for personal reasons to please the advertisers who poured huge money on him to occupy the crease longer and get his useless knocks. He should be executed on charges of putting his goals ahead of the team. You may have noticed the difference in Sachin's fans and Virat/Sehwag fans. We arent abusive just like Sachin who is respected for his behaviour unlike others. We will discuss if Kohli can ever manage close to 80 centuries and more than 50 of those in winning cause.

Sachin is the role model for Yuvraj, Kohli, Gambir and even Dhoni. Dhoni himself claimed that he switched off the TV when sachin got out in the 2003 world cup final. Sachin played with a poorer Indian team to begin with. Yet he inspired the next generation cricketers and finally they played with him when India won the world cup. He has performed and also inspired others. And about useless knocks, how about the 200 against South Africa, the back to back 90s against Australia in Australia to win the CB Cup, the back to back 100s against Steve Waughs Australia in Sharjah ... there is more. He also has a 5 wicket haul against Australia in Kochi. Get your facts right.

Definitely that 200 is good knock and that is the only good knock by him. the real heros of VB series in Australia and sharja you are talking about are the bowlers and did not allow the australian batsmen to make a big total. In all those occassions the scores were around 250 only. Havent you seen knocks by sehwag, dhoni, kohli in chasing scores in excess of 280 with ease?

Dear Friends, Pls don't compare Sachin with anybody. for first 4-5 yrs Sachin was batted at no.6 or 7. Also don't forget that Sachin Broke the highest ODI century record of Deymond Hens of West Indies and top up it to 49 ODI centuries.
