Fear & Greed

are two most important human traits, that makes man do unnecessary things. Dhoni doesn't want to let go off the POWER which he is enjoying (rightly so) and he fears that someone else make replace him. He even fears that some wicket keeper may actually replace him in test match, as Dhoni's position is itself questioned in longer version of the game.

Kholi & Gambir

Why everyone target Dhoni, he is sole performer in paksitan ODI. Why no one is blaming Kholi & Gambir - even they too playing in IPL. How can a leader run a show when others are not performing & coach is also not doing good job. Bad referral by garry.

Dravid was a boring player ...

Dravid might be a great technician but he at the same time is a very boring player. I remember during my childhood days I used to just switch off the TV when Tendulkar gets out and when Dravid comes in. If Cricket is Cinema, then Dravid is Documentary film maker!!

Regional fundamentalism?? Brilliant way to have discussion. Don't have any arguments, try and rile up others with uncouth language. And I thought people from Bengal are educated. Good to know that you think Nambiar (not NUmbiar) pun intended, has anything to do with Varghese

Dravid = great batsman, dumb coach

Dhoni should quit TEST CRICKET and solely focus on LOIs. Test cricket fr a wicketkeeper batsman captain is too much of an ask. Imagine doing sit ups for 90 overs and then having to bat. Add to that the pressure of captaincy for 5 grueling days.

He is a class LOI player. He should quit from Tests only.

Team selection
by Rupesh Majethiya on Jan 10, 2013 01:31 PM  | Hide replies

whatever slump of form , team india has shown in the last 1 year is due to bad selection.
the selection committee has to make selection for all three formats on the basis of from shown by palyer in that particular format only.
for test match selection only performance in ranji trophy should be considered.
for odi selection only challenger trophy and vijay hazare trophy and for t-20 selection only ipl perforrmance .
we should mix the things together.
rohit sharma is a classic example of this, evrytime he is included in the odi team on the basis of his ranji or ipl form and fails miserably...instead he has to be given a chance in teat team.

Best Way Forward for Team India in Tests, One-Dayers & T20 (All Formats).

Captain : Virat Kohli.
Coach : Sourav Ganguly
Wicket Keeper/Batsman : Robin Uthappa (He has become a regular wicket keeper for his State & a very decent batsman. Would be another Sangakkara in the making for India).

There is high-scoring CM Gautam of Karnataka in Ranjis. Also, Wrridiman Saha is also a good alternative.

Dhoni must totally give up IPL & concentrate fully on his battin and w.keeping, whether captaincy is given to him or not, should not bother him.Enhancing his own performance will do a lot of good to Indian cricket.I wish him all the best for a successful long carrier in Indian Cricket.
