Just give the captaincy to Gambhir

in tests and ODIs and see the difference. Gambhir is one who leads from the front as seen in his revival of KKR. He will score well as captain as well as direct the team well.

But hopes are very less of this till cementvasan is there at the helm.

GAMBHIR is out of form so he is not in contention..he should take rest and play more domestic cricket..there are many good players who can lead the team in place of dhoni..

Dhoni's time-wasting at the death

Cannot stand how MSD intentionally stalls proceedings and encourages bowlers to waste time before bowling the final over/ball. He thinks he can intimidate batsmen and embellish his faux pas "captain cool" image. I think it's only damaging the spirit with which the game is played.

Eoin Morgan showed him.

Dhoni will not give up anything!

He holds the captaincy in all the 3 formats not because he is the best captain in the world but because Cricket in India is owned by corporates and bookies!

As long as they are happy with him, he is going nowhere!

Dravid should keep his worthless comments to himself!

dravid has forget how
by soco on Jan 10, 2013 11:51 AM  | Hide replies

he himself was instrumental for quite a number of matches being out of form but he still continued... and then requested bcci to allow him to play the last odi vs eng so that he can hang his bat... shameless creatures donot have responsibility for the nation..they themselves do the damaging act and advise others... big shame

You idi0t, Dravid resigned from captaincy even when India had won record no. of ODI matches in 2006 in a row and won in England a test series after 21 years.

But Dhoni is chipku_ram who dosen't want to let go of anything.

Soco, Dravid did not beg for ODI recall. Rather BCCI selected him given his great test form in Eng and his capability to playing in seaming English conditions. It was Dravid who was clear that he did not want to continue beyond that series. So respect the man for what he is rather than distorting the reality and calling him shameless. He is one cricketer who left the minute he saw a dip in form after being India's best cricketer in 2011.

dravid has done more damage to indian cricket by just playing without shame though he was out of form .. dhoni is unfit for test captiancy because like others he does not have patience to play 5 days with out of form players in the team

soco, Dravid was India's cricketer of the year 2011 with 5 100s in tests that year, 4 of them abroad. So don't make comments for the heck of it. He also started the first test well v Aus in 2012 but failed after that and then announced retirement shortly later in March 2012.

Captaincy is secondary
by Ibrahim Masood on Jan 10, 2013 11:48 AM

Dhoni is best man to lead in all formats but the problem with our other players. They are not all performing..look at Gambhir, Rohit sharma, Raina, Ashwin...whereas, dhoni's performance is consistence.

Our team is not performing as team. Our players are not patriot..they have ego..they are bringing their ego's before country..so tell me how can one perform.

Even if you give steve waugh (best captain) to our team...we will never win because our players have ego and they are concern about them self.

Dhoni should be relieved of captaincy for some time to facilitate him to concentrate only of SK & batting, he is burdened due to the task of taking unwilling sr. bates men to confidence
