Retirement of a Legend
by jacob gosh on Sep 04, 2012 02:50 PM  | Hide replies

It is true that he is a legend. He played so many wonderful innings in his life.even though he is not a good finisher, he made so many runs to give descent totals in past. That does not mean that he can play for ever or do what he wants. If we compare the career of sachin and laxman for the last three years, we can easily find that laxman is far more supeerior to sachin.only 2 series in australia and england he failed.but suddenly all critics wanted laxman to retire, forgetting he was the man of the match in recently concluded tests in kalkatta, srilanka and in famous win against australia in mohali.Mnjerakar and GAVASKAR cried in tandem to expel laxman.and he quit the field silently even though he could have easily played this season.BUT when sachins case came hypocracy of so called critics comes, and they wanted sachin to protect for south african tour in 2013.VERY bad manjerakar.

dhoni was victim of dhoni politics & not mumbai politics.
Sachin 7 laxman are best batsman, friends & respect each other game.
Its only dhoni politics who destroyed indian cricket.
Just sher at home & dher outside.
Oversaes record of dhoni as batsman & keeper 7 captain is worst than any other player.

Show some consideration for youngsters
by manish keshari on Sep 04, 2012 02:29 PM

He should also think for the budding cricketers and the future of indian cricket. He is a legend and has contributed like no one else, but its high time, forget about self ambitions and open the doors for youngsters...

sachin should take VRS
by sitansu padhi on Sep 04, 2012 02:21 PM  | Hide replies

ST should take VRS. otherwise both BCCI and his fans will remove him from the team and he will meet same fate as azhar, ganguly, kapil, ravi shastry etc.

What he will do for livelihood if there is no cricket, no advertisement etc.? Unfortunately he can not give running commentary or do coaching.
