For all the sachin haters, this tournament is a lesson... You can't be in the finals unless you play well in leagues and other knock out rounds.... Don't search for the reasons to comment against sachin, just because someone played better than him on that day...I mean in the final and one more thing to note these days is Dhoni's luck factor drained completely. One shud accept that he reigned till this time on the merits of other team mates. He says, his paln is to chase the score posed by SA in 15-16 overs incase of batting second. Then what is he doing, while posting a target to SA batting first. Our scoring pace since 1st over tells the whole story that Indian team is happy with 140-150 and I donno what made them to think that we can restrict SA for the score required to enter SF.

India won 1st T20 worldcup without Sachin.

India lost ODI worldcups even with sachin in Team for 4 worldcup tournaments. The 5th one we got the cup.

So, can you pls explain how Sachin plays a part ??

Dude, I'm talking about the importance of round robin leagues and knock out rounds before finals. There are many who criticized sachin for performance in 2003 & 2011 finals. But, stats tells that it was because of sachin we performed well in RR leagues in all WC's. So the moral is RR leagues are as importance as finals,if at all some wants to be there. Hope you got the answer.

What an excuse..How does it matter if you are batting first or second? You score 31 runs more than your team can defend. In this case 182.so first innings score target should have been 180-190.

How ridiculous your idea is? How can anyone score exactly 32 runs extra to defend and now you are saying we should have scored 182!!!! How would anyone know that SAF will get out for 150???? Very funny statement...

Sundar you idiot, he is not speaking about exact 32 runs. If you knew what went on during the past few days, we had to win by atleast 32 runs or by 15 overs or so, to get a seat in the semis.

They 'threw' the game from the first over... I didn't beleive it was possible until now but now I'm convinced... dirty underhand tactics by the Aussies...

Well done to India who played pretty well throughout... p*ss off to the Paks and Aussies...

Jai Hind!

And Even Kids could read Pakistan body language against India.. They lost on purpose to keep India alive in Super 8... If Indians cannot beat South Africans like how Australia did then Indians not fit to qualify in semis..

Even if India managed to beat South Africa with the margin that Australia did, they still would not have qualified.

I do not know whether Pakistan vs Australia was fixed or not, but clearly, they were chasing 112 and not 150.

DHONI IS ABSOULUTELY CORRECT
by prajyoth pradeep on Oct 03, 2012 01:48 PM  | Hide replies

Dhoni is a very modest person and when he speaks it is always logical and correct. In the Australia match why would the spinners bowl short, and against England why would they bowl the correct length and flight. It shows they did not have control over the grip. The rain did it for Australia. In twenty overs that is enough. One over can spoil the other team's momentum and give the opposite team the momentum. India is very unlucky to go out like this. They played very well from what I saw and should have had a place in the semis. Australia on the other hand is lucky, of course they bowled well but rain helped them in West Indies match and also against the Indians. Rediff readers and Indian fans do not be disappointed.... this means that there is something bigger for the Indian team around the corner.

Indians who say that Australia lost to Pakistan on purpose are shameless ones.... When India defeated Pakistan.. no cricket crazy Indians said that it was fixed.. the body language of pakistan was very negative that day..

You just explained it yourself... nobody said it was fixed because everyone knows Pak is a kak side... hence they could not beat the Aussies... the Aussies threw the game! If you can't see it... you don't know anything about cricket.

I cannot stop lauging at ur joke.. Pakistan recently easily beat Australia in T-20 before the world cup.. So how can u say that Pakistan cannot beat Australia.. Pakistan spinners are much more talented than other spinners.... Did you see how England lost to India.. what can u say of that match ???

So you are trying to say bookies bribed Indian cricketers to win those matches?

Cricketers are bribed to loose matches. So from your point, cricketers of England and Pakistan should be suspected, not cricketers of India.

It appears MSD has taken his position in the team for granted, like the previous captains of India, who used to play dirty politics during the fag end of their career just to prolong their career & endorsement deals. He is unfazed by yet another loss. How can u play 3 medium pacers against SA,with Harbhajan Singh warming the bench.Am not an admirer of Harbhajan, yet in the context of yesterday's match,he wud have been more than a handful than Balaji. Also introducing Ashwin as late as the 10th over was yet another blunder, especially when u hv to restrict SA to under 121 to qualify for SFs. Also,he himself came in late in the 16th over to bat-and instead sent Rohit Sharma who didnt even get the strike rate to over 100.Added to that, his penchant for continuing with Sehwag & Gambhir for the entire tournament, with both just having a honeymoon - and absolutely no commitment. The way Sehwag bowled himself out yesterday, calls for stringent punishment against him.And the less we talk of Gambhir, the better it is - He should have been axed & replaced by Manoj Tiwari, with Kohli opening the innings.(in any case Kohli has been playing almost as an opener, with Gambhir back either in the first/second over throughout the tournament). Manoj is a better fielder than Gambhir and also can bowl a couple of overs - which is handful, given that India plays with 7 batsmen. But who listens!!! ? We have the deadly combo of Dhoni and Srinivasan who is ruining Indian cricket & raking in moola

I think Dhoni tried his best and whoever written this article don't know how to respect the words of a great sportsman and a great captain. Whoever written this article don't know ABC of cricket and sports.

Bowlers Given There Best
by jignesh Shah on Oct 03, 2012 01:43 PM

I dont know why every one & Dhoni is talking about bad bowling. 4 Out of 5 matches we had opposition team all out. Only one match against we didnt able to bowl out opposition was against Aus that to with 5 bowlers and we lost because our batsman fail to put up good score. Basically our batsman fail to take india to semi final and not bowler. Even against Pakistan our bowlers had restricted to them to 128 it was our batsman job to chase it down by 15 overs which we had not been able to do,even against england it was our bowler who restricted them to 90 runs.
