Lets DEBATE
by KD on Oct 03, 2012 03:54 PM  | Hide replies

1.It is sheer loss from world cup and Dhoni should accept it bravely rather putting excuses on games.

2. If he accept it , he should put more focus to build a team rather than half team which is on side of Dhoni as future of young talent is on toe like Harbhajan , Tiwari , yusuf etc..

3.Roll of Board should be clear and share it with media.

4.Roll of captain and coach is to select team jointly.

5. Coach should speak something in front of media , if he don't know HINDI ie a better excuse , Rather we should have an INDIAN COACH like Gavaskar , Kapil , Sidhu etc..

Rohit- Blunder!!
by Koushikan on Oct 03, 2012 03:54 PM  | Hide replies

Can Dhoni explain why he keeps Rohit sharma in the team in-spite of his repeated failures? It is this favoritism that costs the team many matches. If we had taken Harbajan instead of Rohit sharma yesterday we will still be in Lanka now...

yesterday they all together cornered india
by being indian on Oct 03, 2012 03:54 PM

since all other teams (especially asu. srilanka and pakis) are jelous of rich indian criketers and bcci, ystdy was the day for them to corner india. ausies played badly to push pakis and showed india its way. India played 4 matches and won 3 and thats a good avg. yes yesdy, india was short of 20 runs and that was largely becoz of the opening batsmen, not dhoni.

T20

Only four teams can reach semifinals out of 12 participated. All the teams try hard but only four succeed. In addition to capabilities, teams should be good at making strategies and executing the strategies depending on the situation on the field. Sometimes they work and sometimes they do not. The matter is as simple as this. India could not reach semifinals and it does not mean that we are not the best!

IPL is responsible
by vikas on Oct 03, 2012 03:44 PM  | Hide replies

Because of IPL:

1. We are creating easy pitches, which makes our players less competant in international games.

2. Foreign players are getting full exposure against our players.

3. Priority is IPL as it gives more money.

ALSO DHONI TRIED TO PROMOTE HIS CHENNAI IPL TEAM . THERE WAS NO NEED OF 3 FAST BOWLERS , WHY HARBHAJAN OR OZA WAS NOT INCLUDED IN TEAM . WHY HE RELIED ON SECONDORY SPINNERS. IF PRIMARY SPINNERS LIKE HARBHAJAN , OZA AND ASHWIN WERE PLAYED THEN PICTURE WOULD HV BEEN DIFFERENT. THIS WAS PROVED BY SRILANKA ,PAK AND AUSTRALIA . DHONI IS FULLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS HEAVY LOSS . HE SHOULD BE PUNISHED

Batting First
by Gm Keeda on Oct 03, 2012 03:42 PM

The last para of the article quotes Dhoni, "It becomes very difficult to make a strategy when you bat first." Are we playing international cricket? Why not BCCI force ICC to amend the rules so that in all shorter versions of the game, India would be chasing and NEVER be batting first?

M S DHONI:

The man who led India to be T-20 Champions in 2007
The man who led India to win ODI World Cup 2011
The man who helped India to become Top Test Team in the world
The man under whom India won all but one match in the current T-20 Tournament
The same man is seen as Failed Leader.

It is called:
HERO ONE DAY, VILLAIN THE OTHER
It is rightly said:
EVERYONE IS WISE AFTER AN EVENT IS OVER

Whichever horse wins, people are there to catch the tail. Nobody blames Dhoni's team members, who have utterly failed. Somebody hits a good score once in a bluemoon is always considered in the team, whereas there are lot of young talents in India who can be considered now.

Moreover, Dhoni is correct as far as his comments about Australia's perormance is concerned. This is the second time that Aurstralia is planning the game, in such a way to restrict India coming up. The answer should be given by Team India by beating Aussies 'nuts & bolts' in the coming up games.

in which world are you living...lets analyse your statements..agreed India winning T20WC was quite amazing.2.India's no:1 test status had nothing to do with Dhoni.where was he when India was routed 8-0 last year..read when sachin/dravid/laxman/viru were flops..he cant play proper test cricket outside India.3.india won the WC because it was held in India.with the kind of bowling we had no where else we could have won the cup.if india want to be called champions they need to defend the title down under in 2015.of late Dhoni is known for failed tactics only but in T20s and ODIs he remains up to the mark..not sure of his captaincy though...

History is replete with such cases whether it is kings, politicians or sportsmen. Age not only makes you mature but later, it rots! The man under whom India won all but one match? Did you see the match against Afghanistan? If they had not dropped some easy catches, you would have been singing a different tune.
