Sachin Got A Point
by Polar Shift on Dec 02, 2012 10:04 AM

What the cricket lovers fail to
understand with their 'little'
brains about the little master
is he has signed 'big' contracts
and they would pull out if he
retires and due to his extreme
honesty he wants to play till the
contract dates are expired.
Intel deal only fetched him
5 million USD. So let him
play his game and let him
score hos runs and let him
decide when he should retire
and let him enjoy he own life
whats bothering you people ??

Sachin should quit
by Obaid Rehmani on Dec 02, 2012 07:53 AM

Sachin is faswled turning from national pride to national shame. It is pathetic to see him getting bowled against rookie bowlers. But then he is a politician now and we know how politicians cling to their chairs at the expense of common man.

rather tamely?
by Vikram Raj on Dec 02, 2012 12:04 AM

the author calls australia's world cup exit in 2011 "tame". They reached the quarterfinals, and they refused to give up until the last run was scored.

Compare that to India's "glorious" exit in 2007 world cup after being finalists in 2003.

There is nothing to shout about Ricky Ponting and only our slavish media and crooked westerners make him Big! what a shame!Shame that indian media and some vested interests are doing the sachin-bashing for helping some vested interests! Shame Indians are so
good in pulling down their own heroes and legends and a player like
Sachin comes only once in 500 years, perhaps???Get some reality checks, folks!Ponting is nobody compared to our legend Sachin for the simple reason that Sachin had to face the fiery bowling of aussies and other countries too and still score 100 centuries! while Ponting or Bradman had the privilege and good lcuk of NOT facing the fiery aussie pace attack&fielding for 2 decades and the aussie batsmen had the added luxury of facing poor indian bowlers and fielding and score centuries as they want! Further all the umpires were very kind to all white skinned players and very cruel with Sachin and coloured players and so many times Sachin has been given out wrongly ba bad umpiring decisions too! Hope all world and cricket fans will realize now why Sachin is greater than Bradman and Ponting&Richards&Kallis, etc, etc!

Ricky Ponting Greatest Artist of Batting. He was never praised for his commendable performance by Indian Media obsess with Local Run making Factory wickets literally it was match fixing by adopting slow wickets.
Watch his performance in world cup in South Africa against India. Indian Bowlers searching land.

Sachin needs 5 births to match Ponting's success as captin of a ntional side. Sachin always played for himself and now also doing the same. Remember his 100th century against Bangladesh which cost us the match and later the tournament. Any other country and the player would have been sacked the next day.

Understand realities
by kept on Nov 30, 2012 04:49 PM  | Hide replies

Everybody asking Sachin to retire please understand this
1. Austrailian cricket is remembered for Don bradman not for how many trophies or series won by Austrailia.
2. When you say jamaica, what comes to your mind is Usain Bolt not how many Medals country won in Olympic.
3. Indian chess - Vishwanath anand not how many tournaments he won/lost.

Tournaments and Series will come and go, 50 years down world will forget win or lose, but remember iconic people, fortunately we have got Sachin, we should stand behind him and allow him to extend his record so that Nobody can breach his record in years to come. world Cricket will be remembered for Sachin.

SRT is a big hypocrite.

Did Dravid & Laxman go to selectors to ask them to take a call on their continuation in the team. They themselves took the call butthis airbag is still hanging around .

What if somebody interpret that as Dravid and Laxman Failed to handle the pressure from Media. They didnt even tried to prove, the brainless critics were wrong. You would have been right, if they were retired after a Match Winning Performance. If sachin retires now, there is no big difference between them. All of them retired after Failures and forced to retire.

What people will say, when they asks somebody to retire in future?

Laxman was failure in his last 2 or 3 series, He was retired bcoz of forcing by BCCI.

Dravid was failure in Australia. He got bowled 5 or 6 times continues.

The above statements are not mine. This will be your words after some years. Bcoz i didnt saw any respect in you for our Legends.

How many one day & test matches won by India since Sachin Ten
by SandyNilam on Nov 30, 2012 04:03 PM  | Hide replies

Sachin Tendulkar, easily the best batsman ever produced by India (or any country arguably), made his test debut on 15 November 1989 and since then, India has played 189 tests = won 65, lost 50 and drawn 74.

Sachin Tendulkar made his one day debut a month later, on 18 December 1989 and since then India has played 594 ODI = 300 won, 262 lost, 3 tied and 29 no results.

Sachin Tendulkar has played only one twenty20 international, against South Africa at Johannesburg on 1 December 2006 and India won that match by 6 wickets (1 ball remaining).

U check the perforamnces of both Ricky Ponting and Sachin. The one who brought victories to his side with his own contribution is truly great - and not one who amassed runs to set records.

Raj,

You said 'Side' right? Means Team.

There is 10 More Players to bat and min 5 Bowler to bowl, right?

And still if you want to Check, let's look who had the Maximum Man Of The Match and Series Awards? Now you may say, Sachin Played more matches than Ponting. So Check the avg or Ratio. Then you will realize who brought more victories to his Team.

And also wondered to know that, There are two type score cards. One is for Team and other one is for Records.

If you discounted those 'selfish record' Runs from Original Score cards, Indian Might not even reach in some Semi Finals and Finals.
