Punter should be copared with "real" greats only - Kallis , Dravid , Lara , Arvinda , Sangakara and not somebody who thrived due to the benevolence of the people who were & are running BCCI.

should be compared to players who have been the reason of great & historical victories - world cups , crunch matches , do / die situations & not who have focussed only on personal landmarks.

Oh really.. is tendulkar a saint?.. we fail to see the cultural differences between india and aus.. swearing is part of their culture.. here u cannot swear, but u can slow down while apporaching a personal milestone at the expense of the country .. and we treat those people as gods, saints..

rightly said lotiya. People are forgetting about his dirty tricks and cheating he used to do on the field. He was one of the filthiest cheaters out there. Just a good batsman with a good team.

Get some reality checks,folks!Ponting is nobody compared to our legend Sachin for the simple reason that Sachin had to face the fiery bowling of aussies and other countries too and still score 100 centuries! while Ponting or Bradman had the privilege and good lcuk of NOT facing the fiery aussie pace attack and they had the added luxury of facing indian bowlers and score centuries as they want! Further all the umpires were very kind to all white skinned players and very cruel with Sachin and coloured players and so many times Sachin has been given out wrongly ba bad umpiring decisions too! Hope all world and cricket fans will realize now why Sachin is greater than Bradman and Ponting and Others!

Kallis has close to 200 test catches Close to 300 Test wickets Close to 13,000 test runs 44 test centuries. Batting average is more than sachin ( 57.00 hahaha) He has played 45 test matches less than sachin since unlike sachin he is not playing since 1989.
Like it or not,-Kallis is the GREATEST TEST CRICKETER ALIVE- MUCH GREATER THAN SACHIN Try comparing the stats of sachin and kallis- It is a NO SHOW.. Kallis wins hands down in Fielding, bowling and is close to sachin in Batting- so overall Kallis wins

'We did not lose to a team called India...we lost to a man called Sachin ” Even After Australians Made 71 Runs 1st Innings Lead, Indian won with a Good Margin with the Help of, The One and Only Centurian (in that match) Sachin and also a Good Bowling Performances by Kumble and Raju. But you people still calls him selfish and plays for record. Feels very much sad to see these comments are from an ‘Indian Name’.

yea its very true saying this all things about sachin the legend from indian people,punter is best was more than his luck was best, our sachin luck always bewitched,People forget old times when in sharjah he created thunder strom, he solely won titan cup in 1996 in india,only 1st player to make century in bouncy perth.he handled greats like mcgrath,akram,murali all by himself
Seeing today's Test cricket including Sachin whith patches of ads. on the white attire for the sake of money,Stick to the tradition and ethics of cricket.What rule book of cricket book says about dress code?Or one day it will look like clutter.

What is the Big Deal,folks??? not only sachin, even our sunny,kapil and dravid are 100 times better thanthese guys who have become big by playing useless indian pace and spin bowling while indian batsmen had to face fiery aussie bowling and aussie players of course were lucky not to face the aussie pacers and spinners!shame so much undue praise is given to non-indian cricketers for the above reason!
Do not compare two cticketers. Sachin was facing fiery bowling more than Ponting. Ponting was facing more spin guns more than Sachin.You can not win the argument on this flimsy grounds. Both are great batsman
