Ricky ponting is a great cricketer. He is a most successful cricket captain in the world. He has contributed a lots. He is one of the most gentale man cricketer. There will be a large vacant once he will be retiring after Perth Test. Ricky Ponting, Sachin, Lara, Warne, Imran all are ornaments in cricket

Sorry Ponting was never a gentleman. From claiming bump catches to misbehaving with ICC President in an official ceremony to the trumped up racist charge on India he has been devious too.

True, Ponting was a good batsman for australia. But, a poor sportsman for cricket.

He was a typical aggressive Australian who played Cricket with passion & desire to win.The competitive cricket now does not permit gentleman to win & that is what fans want & he delivered both as a successful batsman & Captain for 7 yrs.
