closeness to balasaheb
by biswanath roy on Nov 23, 2012 03:25 PM  | Hide replies

sachin was very close to balasaheb and his death has left sachin shattered, thus it was expected that sachin may not play at his best. lataji and sachin were balasaheb's favourites among non-politicians. moreover the clamour for sachin's retirement has again reached a peak, but he is intelligent enough to understand that so long as he plays he will get advertisements, which gave him more than Rs 100 crores in 2011-12. see what has happened to dravid, laxman, ganguly & kumble, are they seen on the TV screen with regard to ads?

He will not retire. After few matches with low scores , he will perform in one match and speak about his form. His m0r0ns fanz also will support him saying he is still in form why should he retire.. it continues.. one fine day he will play along with Arjun...

Actually, he wants to follow the footsteps of Babasaheb and Lataji in terms of age of retirement- both were/are active in their 80's

Please retire when u r at best

Retiring fr Test cricket Sunil Gavaskar quotes: Better to retire when people asking why u r retiring, rather than when people ask why not u r retiring. Sachin, u r loosing respect, faith, love n attachment by going late to decide. Bhagwan Sachin ko sadbuddhi de.

Sachin was bowled by a classic beauty which spun right across the bat & took off stump ,off.
M/s Ravi Shastri & Gavaskar could not digest the fact that their pseudo great was bowled by a spinner who was not even sure of his place in the team. So instead of talking about the dismissal they kept making fun of high five done by Panesar. At least they acknowledged the fact that their portege may not be a world class batsman , but he is good high fiver.
Shame on such legends.

Now Gavaskar ,Shastri ,Manjrekar and Vegsarkar etc all say he was playing very well and hitting the ball beautifully till he lost his wicket - well this is not my statement ,this was what was dais long back when a Mumbai player got out for less than 20.

Frame of Mind
by Naveen Madhu on Nov 23, 2012 01:37 PM

Tandulkars grace and style od play is there but his frame of mind is not in shape. Mentally he seemed to be in the frame of retirement. It will be good for him and for cricket.

I am an admirer of his game....but he need to give way for youngsters to groom up. All have to leave one day or other..that is the greatness of sports.
