Get the correct facts and thens speak.As per the statement from BCCI,Sachin had a appointment with a doc in London for his toe and that is why he was not available for the function.

Easy guys. A compliment to Dravid is not a critique of Ponting or Sangakkara. These are all great batsmen. But it is Dravid's farewell and some of his team mates are calling him the best , instead of calling him among top-3 batsmen in that position. Big deal, we understand, probably Ponting and Sangakkara wont mind that given the context.

Agree. Why get carried away literally to all statements made in context? During farewell of Ponting or Sangakkara, somebody may say the same...
Sachin you could have done a nice video message for Dravid like BCCI president; Sachin how did you find time to attend the party organized by Ambani :-) Just a day ago.. I am hoping you are now in London for a toe surgery..All the best mate !!

He is like a head clerk who does maintain all records and gets seniority by keeping with all record books. One should remember that he was not a captain in leading the team for victories for INDIA.He an ordinary player who got a chance to play for so long and achieved his individual records.He waiting till a able captain to bring victory for INDIA in ODI and he become a part of the team to hold the Cup.
