Sachin has right to decide when to retire: Time magazine

Sachin has been playing for his own records. He has nothing to do irrespective of India's win or loss. This has been well relected in the past matches.

Sachin retirement
by Senthil Kumar on Mar 19, 2012 11:16 AM

Lesser mortals and Arm Chair Critics do not have the right to decide when Sachin should retire. The man is sensible enought to know when to hang up his boots. let us leave him in peace.

if sachin should not retire because he is in good form what about rahul dravid he was highest run scorer in last year board ask him to retire and even tendulkar making a comment before dravid announceing his retirement this shows his selfishness and attitude of the player. look his centureis whether any matches has been won once senior played commented if tendulkar score centry india never won.

For all Sachin Bashers,
by Ravi House on Mar 19, 2012 11:14 AM

Think before Ink. So many people had fought for our freedom then why we are all hailing Gandhi as Mahatma and giving him more credit than anybody else. It is like that sachin for cricket. If you do not respect a player like sachin then whom you are going to respect. Let me ask all sachin bashers that if sachin had scored his 100th 100 against weak bangla then why did not the team defend 290 against them? India won the match against lanka by 50 runs defending 304 but did not defend 290 against so called weak bangla. But you people would blame it on sachin. Let me tell you tomorrow if bangla beat lanka, then it would be the second consecutive tournament when virat scored india did not enter finals. When sachin scores india loses is your theory then when virat scores india do not enter final will be our theory. But by any logic our theory will be as foolish as yours. Many players would come and go because of whom we can win and lose which is part of the game. But a career like sachin's will come once in a while. Try to preserve it even if you do not like it.

"Times" picked "Richards" Statement!!
by RAKESH NAIR on Mar 19, 2012 11:13 AM

"Times Writers" has "Picked" "Vivian Richards" Statements which he gave very "Emotionally".
From past 1 year "Richards" & "Sachin" are "Praising" each other & finally "Richards" was called for "TV Shows" in "India"!!!
Nobody is bigger than "Nation" or "Team Sport".
"Emotionally" given "Statements" should be seen in that "Context" only!!!
"God" knows how "India" is listening to these "Statements" where "Spirit" of "Team Sport" is "Compromised"!!!

It shows the rest of the team in poor light. Its a shame that the remaining 10 players failed to perform their part and take the team home when one player has already scored a 100.

The above stats show how idiotic you are. 4 against bangla all in asia. Do not you know that bangla is an asian country and they won't travel outside asia to play cricket? More over you are talking about only 100s. 98 AGAINST pakistan in south africa, 91 against aus in syd 2nd final, 2 90s against sa and eng in england. 90S are as good as 100s but for the statistical purpose. So many of his 90s have won the match for india. Moreover i believe that this match winning knock logic has been brought to counter sachin's matchless performance and popularity. One can play well when all is well which is what the match winning knocks are primarily. One has to fight the odds when nothing is well which is what the knocks that ended in a losing cause. In that way sachin's greatest knocks are played under tremendous pressure which went in vain because all was not going well which primarily means no support from other players.
