Nobody is critisizing SRT due to personal animosity. However great he may be, he is not bigger than the game. The frustration against him (at least for me) stems from the fact that he doesn't realize he is NOT the future of Indian cricket, he has achieved everything that a cricketer can hope to achieve and he needs to step down. NOBODY is going to think less of him just because he didn't get that 100th 100. In fact, his pristine legacy could be tarnished if he hangs around any longer than the Asia Cup. I pray that he gets his 100th 100 during the Asia Cup and we can all go back to living our lives.

When somebody has played over 800 innings in international career, then 100 centuries is not a great effort. He should retire now and make way for youngsters.

abe khajoor forget 29 centuries...how much chachin scored centuries in his first 52 test...13-14...and if ponting, kallis, kohli, cook playes 800 inning they will definitely score more than 100 centuries

Untruth:
I am talking IF Kalyan Sen Sharma scored 29 centuries in 52 tests he'd have achieved what Bradman did. Hence Bradman is nothing special. Similar to your argument that IF Cook plays 800 innings he'll score 100 centuries... :)

Agreed. For all the money that our cricketers earn, more than many times others, we should at least perform well - that should be our focus.
Why is that he had been singly pointed for all problems? Now him not scoring 100th 100 is a problem. Chappel says that team India is losing because of this.
I thought we had other super heros (Gambhir, Sehwag, Dravid, Laxman, Dhoni) in Indian cricket team whom bloggers find first chance to praise whenever they score and India wins. All these gentleman also failed miserably and infact Sachin didn't fail, but was having a lean patch in Aussie tour.
Trace back and in last 15 years everyone has been praised inclduing cricketers like Yuvi who has scored 8500 one day runs but has yet to make a mark in tests. But when it comes to Sachin, people always have something to say about the way he goes about his cricket.
Pity folks and media who will shut their mouth in Dhaka soon and the master will have a gloriuos run like in 2010 and score 1500 plus Test runs before retiring.
Re: Tendulakar the permanent problem - Why?
by Patriot on Mar 13, 2012 12:28 AM
Dravid had a terrible 2010 while Sachin was blazing - India won chasing 400 against England in Chennai, India won a test series in Sri Lanka becise of Sachin.
While Dravid came back to do well in 2011, Sachin was not far behind and score 800 plus test runs again in 2011.
Funny that people memory is short lived and now start asking why Sachi is not retiring.
Why did you all not ask the same when Dravid was failing in 2011 so badly that his average was 20 the whole year.
what abt Sehwag who had a horrendous tour of Australia.
He Skipped Tour of West Indies so that he can score his 100th Ton in England.. Failed. Again Skipped England's ODI's tour of India, so that he can score his 100th Ton in Australia ... Failed. Now finally his PR Guys have told him that Asia cup is his best chance. Three chances on subcontinent pitches. If he can not score a century..he should at least quit ODI's. What a irony that highest run getter for year 2011 retires after one bad series and the guys with PR Teams working for them keep on playing with out any shame.

Is there a law in India that only Selected few like you can talk or think about SRT?

Cmon you can not use name of Bradman and Pietersen again, come out with some new excuse and by the way looks like you did not recognize Pietersen when he shook your hand, so speaking from your experience.
The author seems to be just interested in some cheap publicity because we have right to expression. Look at the sercastic statement he makes. Tendulkar's century was special regardless of the fact India lost. India 267/2 39 overs when Tendlya got out.All out for 296 and SA sucesfully chases India loses. Blame Tendlya because it brings us in limelight. Achieve half of what this man has achieved and then only you qualify to talk.

but wot wrong he has said...what is the use of century if team loses..team is more imp than personel milestones...in that respect dravid and laxman are better than sachin...
