responding to such an illogical comment is difficult, but i will try. nobody is comparing sachin with this reporter, first of all. the reporter has no claims to be the best of his kind in the world. nor is he being followed with bated breath by a billion people waiting for something that is just a statistical thing. so your comment where you try to defend sachin by putting down the reporter just doesnt make sense. your move.
Is a great achievement.. but here the greatness lies in SRT longevity , than personal brilliance with batting.. for the amount in matches and years he has played , the returns have been minimal.. an odd sharjah and an chennai test supported by 3 other batsman is not good anough averga cricketers like cook, strauss, warner etc go through their careers playng atleast 2-3 knocks like that in theri short careers

an "odd" Sharjah ?? What about the world cup match against PAK in 2003 ? What about so many centuries in Eng,Aus ??
A century is a lot of effort, to wait patiently, play using technique, adapting to every bowler, maintaining composure for at least 3 hours inspite of fans and surroundings, and stamina.
100 centuries makes for a colorful career. Good for you Sachin, you'll definitely complete your goal.

When somebody has played over 800 innings in international career, then 100 centuries is not a great effort. He should retire now and make way for youngsters.

What gold medal? An olympic gold medal, for that  gold Atheletes have to wait for 4 years and then deliver their best in pressure. The closest thing to a 100 metres in Olympic in Cricket is world Cup , but in that ur fake GOD cannot withstand the pressure .(in two finals , he was a failure). Now dont tell me that in an Olympic 100 metres u just have to win in the finals but also in initial rounds to progress through to finals . Only that athelete won the goldmedal who qualifies for the finals and win in the finals but ur god always failed in WC finals.

If one plays 800 innings, sure to get 100 centuries. But the fact fact is only who can score 100 centuries can only play 800 innings.
India is an entirely different country. All religions are connected by one sports which is cricket. Tendulkar proved he is one of the best top 5 cricket player in the world. Scoring 100 international hundreds is a difficult task for any cricketer. Almost impossible to anyone. Look at any batsman in the world. None scored 100 international hundereds in the history of cricket. This is the first time a player is close to. ( I believe it is going to be the last time when a player scored 100 international hundreds). Adding that are the expectations of 100 crores indians. Imagine how much pressure it is going to be. After all he is a human. There is lot of difference between tendulkar and other players. Tendulkar is the reason why cricket lived in india in 1990s and 2000s.

Also people say he is selfish and old. However I am not seeing any backup players who can take care of his role. Still india is heavily depending on Tendulkar.

By the same token, Bradman's effort was not great either.
Anyone who could have scored 29 centuries in 52 tests would have achieved what Bradman did... :)

abe khajoor forget 29 centuries...how much chachin scored centuries in his first 52 test...13-14...and if ponting, kallis, kohli, cook playes 800 inning they will definitely score more than 100 centuries
