He is not effective because he does not pitch up because when you pitch up and swing then the batsmen has more chances of knicking it for edge. What style? As a bowler you have to change to stay in competition . if his style is not good which is the case, he should start again. This bowling is not international standard. come on Ishant you are not thinking, you have to change massively to take wickets. Ausssie, pakistanis,English,Southafricans all pitch up the ball and make it swing which gives batsmen less time to judge which ball to leave and which ball to play.India needs a bowling coach from pakistan,England or Australia as we have never produced a genuine fast bowler.

Essentially he lacks the brains to improvise. Time for him to go and bring back varun once he is fit to play again.
