BUT DOES THE BCCI, SRI'VSAN,RAVI SH'STRI FEEL ASHAMED ?
by damodaran mohan on Jan 21, 2012 02:33 PM

Perhaps Kapil feels ashamed because he is not part of BCCI or that he is not getting any fat cheques from them.Ravi Shastri says the juniors must push the seniors out.But how ? Even after such humiliating performance of the team Rohit Sharma is still travelling as a tourist? It is not just 3-0 margin but the meek surrender within 3-4 days by the greatest of the batsmen in the world and then shamelessly going out for sight seeing for rest of the days which is most damning part. And doing that not once but thrice ! On the top of it the BCCI President has the cheek to say Indians can beat the best side in the world. But he has no concern that at least in the next Test at Adelaide the Team should do well even if it is not winning.Actually BCCI and the selectors are hoping that the side would do well in the One dayer Tri-series and all would be forgotten. After the Test experience at least they should not be foolish enough to take things for granted.

Be sensible

Not sure how many of you remember. After the Worldcup victory in 1983, West Indies toured India and white washed India very badly. If Kapil paaji is feeling ashamed of Indian performance this time in Australia, then how was he feeling when they were white washed by WI in our own den. Atleast Kapil is reasonable when he says that we should support the team in bad times and not to make changes in middile of the series. How about the other great experts who are calling for dropping the seniors and forgot that they once played international cricket and faced similar challenges? They were also the team in 1983 when WI whipped and whitewashed India. But they still played even after that horrifying series shamelessly. And now they sit in AC rooms and comment on the the senior greats who gave us some memorable victories. Double standards and irresponsible comments from so called experts.

Well India lost 5 match series as 3-0 in 1983.
Kapil and Marshall got Man of series awards for their bowling performances(28 and 33 wickets) and Gavaskar scored 3 hundreds and his Highest 236 not out in that series.

Kapil took 9 wickets for 83 Runs his bowling best in that series.Inspite of that he was out of captaincy for just one series loss.

Now these 7 sucessive ONE SIDED losses with out fighting are just not acceptable.
We were no were closer to number 1 test spot in 1983. But we were number 1 test side in 2011. Dhoni is still hanging as captain even after all these

1983 ODI Worldcup winning team losing 5-0 in ODIs in home conditions was not to be ashamed of and losing 3-0 in Aussies tailor made pitches was to be ashamed of is it? If so, then so be it.

what about the the loss of 4 tests in England recently.
SCG is traditional batting pitch and even Srikant scorded test century there
None our guys could bat when australian were scoring runs at 4 per over and triple hundreds.
What condition it is

If purchasing cricket boards was so possible, India would have won all matches in all series by now :)

I think Kapil is right. Actually we are not fair.Country to be 1st not the individual. We think why should we feel shame even if india losing let the tendulkar make his 100th test centuray even if we have to loose 100s of matches.Let the new commers wait more 10 years no problem.
