Dear fellow indians
========================
we need unity
---
unity across the BCCI
unity across the former and current players
unity across all Indians
------------------------------------
remember history India got colonized not because we did not have patriotic warriors but because some did treachery against then India

so the need of the hour is - One voice
---
yes we need constructive criticism

MONEY in cricket is huge and Indians play a huge role

various vested interest want to Hurt Indian cricket ,BCCI and shake up our senior players

that is why we must be aware of such Cunning and Foxy people
foreign media
typical indians media like NDTV copycat western media
----
so let us first unite
Find the causes
discuss and find solutions
let us FIX the indian cricket not break it apart
otherwise Indian cricket will be Indian Hockey

Answers are clear:

Causes:

1) Lack of Techniques and adaptability of Indian batsmen against quality pace bouncy fast bowling

Solution: 1) prepare some good fast bouncy pitches in India to help batsmen adapt quickly to swing bowling 2) gives oppurtunities to promising young athletic fast bowlers 3) gives emphasis to selecting and promoting good physically fit and strong athletic people as future cricketers

I agree
---------
but everytime some one makes good suggestions ,the others brush them aside
-----
when mani aiyyar made some suggestions about improving facilities in schools like playgrounds and adequate sports etc

Corript people who want to earn money in CWG 2010 pished him aside as well
=============================
same way now that India did not play well we are all reacting
but I had made similar suggestions in 2008 - 3 years ago itself as well

IPL is the culprit
by LALIT PANT on Jan 22, 2012 01:01 PM  | Hide replies

IPL is responsible for such a downfall. All those engaged in staging the IPL tamasha, should understand that we are draining our players both mentally and physically for the sake of minting some money at home.

I dont think IPL is the reason becos we had been croppers in Australia and South Africa abroad since 1990's. When did India win a series in Australia or South Africa or England last ? - that gives the answer. See my post on the exact reasons. Its not a downfall but an inherent inability to play pace and lack of genuine fast bowlers. Indian players dont have the adaptability to fast swing bowling neither they do have the fast bowling techniques matching Australia or South Africa or Pakistan

Massive surgery on cricketing system need of the hour
by powerful Goldstar on Jan 22, 2012 12:58 PM  | Hide replies

Infact if we examine history, India had never been comfortable in fast bouncy pitches abroad series be in Australia or South Africa or England. Remember in 1992 we lost in Australia heavily in the Test/ODI series. Similarly during our tours of England or SA, never once we had been able to do convincingly. So I would say that its not a matter of Indian team performance gone suddenly bad but its been a case of something which has always there (our batsmen never able to face fast swing bouncy bowling and lack of genuine fast bowlers - 2 factors). I bet if the same eleven we have in Australia were put to a series against England or South Africa or Australia on home ground in India where dead slow turning pitches rule the roost, India would have performed better. Infact even from 1990's these kind of debacles have happened abroad but everything will be forgotten soon after an average victory on home turf. I dont think this cycle is going to change unless BCCI takes initiative and 1) prepares some good fast bouncy pitches in India to help batsmen adapt quickly to swing bowling 2) gives oppurtunities to promising young athletic fast bowlers 3) gives emphasis to selecting and promoting good physically fit and strong athletic people as future cricketers. But ultimately nothing is going to happen and we will never be a competitive and spirited team like Australia, South Africa, Srilanka or even Pakistan.

I agree some statements
spirited yes we are competitive yes we are at Home ,but we showed improvement in 2003,2008 series as well as south african tour
----------------------------
just because we lost a series 3-0 does not mean we should be ashamed at all

In england
----------
our batsman and rest of team barring DRAVID did not come to the party
===============================
Current aussie series
-----
our openers did not click
- in this series
as well as aussies want revenge and left grass in some areas of pitch where the ball is made to hit the deck

so no need to feel ashamed or feel as far as fans are concerned
WE need introspection and team efforts and unity for purpose as well

Indian Team's Performance
by Shriniwas Waghrulkar on Jan 22, 2012 12:54 PM

Kapil Dev should not have been ashamed by the current team's performance because they have also done so worst after lifting the World Cup in 1983 against West indies and that too in India. The Hero of our World Cup team- current selector- Mohindar Amarnath was ZERO in that series. Kapil must have forgotten the History.

Our request to team Australia through this forum: Sachin, including our whole team is not in a form to challenge your team at this stage. More over we are more interested in centuries and award for Sachin than winning a game. So, in spite of giving this type of statements, your team's balling and fielding should be in such a way that Sachin hit century and your team win the match: a win win solution for your team as well as for Sachin and his fans. More over your team should also appeal to your Govt to declare a special cash award of not less than $100,000 lakh for this legend as our Govt is giving nothing to him except imposing taxes...

Mr Rama Anne, make a universal team with universal fielders and ballers to ball to this universal legend and let you and your fellow universal cricket lover enjoy. But if anyone plays in team, the ultimate goal is to win for the team. You know, if any person fall in real love, he finds everything beautiful in his love and fails to apply logic in his emotion which many times goes against everybody's interest. I respect your emotion. But it may be for Sachin's personal interest, it can't be for any others interest.

Feel ashamed about Indian performance
by raja r on Jan 22, 2012 12:45 PM

Kapil has forgotten what he did to the Indian team. When he toured South Africa, he dropped Srinath who was bowling really fast and played with Manoj Prabhakar in a bid to achieve his personal goal of World record. We were trashed by South Africa in that match.
Shame on Kapil who preaches what he did not practice.
