Time For packup
by affectionate on Jan 07, 2012 01:03 PM

Time for BCCI and Indian Cricket to packup, people are no longer interested in this game. The more they lose, the larger their destruction. There are many other promising capable games for us not just cricket

Hard work
by Rahul Khan on Jan 07, 2012 12:56 PM  | Hide replies

Net practice is much harder than playing test cricket. The present day Indians from all sections of society have wrongly aped the Western culture and have resorted to Lesiure and Celebration mindset, at the drop of the hat.Mr. Sunny, this is what is on display by the Indian Team in Auzie, SIMPLE.

Mr. Gavaskar should also read the message Mr. Tendulkar is sending by deliberately not scoring his much awaited 100.
Its just a deliberate ploy to prolong his vested stay in the Indian Team so as to rake Moolaha thru Ads and Endorsements.

What you are saying is non-sense about Tendulkar. If he has hunger for runs, he will play till the age of 45.

Practice for IPL Money
by Basavaraj Harihar on Jan 07, 2012 12:47 PM

Our players are paid in millions even if they loose withing 3 days. I remember to read that 40 years back Indian team which won in NZ in 4 days did not get DA for 5th Day. Here the poorest player is among rechest 10,000 people in India. Then why should waste time in practice?

Gavaskar critical..........
by parshuram gautampurkar on Jan 07, 2012 12:46 PM  | Hide replies

What the former captain has said/remarked is unquestionably worth consideration by BBCI and the selection committee. In addition, what was seen in the match, the fighting and competitive spirit was squirely absent in the minds of our players. They appeared taking the test match so lightly as if there was no meaning of winning or loosing the game for them. Playing game with cool and calm mind does not ever mean that there should be no fighting spirit amongst the players. I once again repeat, there is no consistency in our game, neither in the batting nor in the bowling department . Our`s is not a guaranteed game and we can hardly think of victory when we need it most.

Because BCCI has enough Arab money to cover the fiasco in overseas. Thye would pay Srilanka and Pakistan to loose the WC match, they wud bribe England to have 0-4 here. Think millions have been invested for his 100 and the more the delay the more money he is making .. what a crook

Gavaskar is cent percent correct.
The way these highly paid Cricket
ers have lost they should be practicing Continuously till they atleast put up a semblance of fight! But they happen to be totally shameless!!

Gie them a break...!
by Akhil Jain on Jan 07, 2012 12:46 PM  | Hide replies

If only people commenting on the form of players and results of matches realize that the ones playing there are also human beings, few of the billions of us. Agreed, they are meant to play, perform, and win matches according to our expectations, but what happens out there in the middle is what they face, and none other. The soaring pressure to perform is as it is on the back of their minds, and such criticism is just adding salt to their wounds. I do believe, we as Indians, treat cricket as our religion, but then, have faith in the religion and not the priests. That is what our Indian team is. A priest to to the religion of cricket. Take the game in it's right spirits, and stop expecting magic on the field.

Dont bat for the undeserving,Jain.
They need not win. Atleast put up a fight! The margin of loss shows that there was NO CONTEST!This can be done even by you and me.

Team India lost Melbourne test which they should have won. It was not only batting debacle in Melbourne test but our woeful bowling to lower order batsmen which cost the match.
In both the matches I found Dhoni's captaincy horrible. It is quite probable he has lost interest in leading Team India in test cricket.

Gavaskar is right. We didn't focus on enough practise in Aus and took things for granted.Aus were in second inngs 27/4 and still we couldn't get them all out cheaply.
We need some strong captain.
Gavaskar had guts to walk out when he was capt in Aus after giving a wrong decision by umpires and taught a lesson to Aussies.

Well done SMG. Now everybody is getting ready for the stupid IPL 5, the schedule for which was released on the very same day of India's pathetic fall in Sydney. Bunch of Jokers as Jimmy once called.

Indian team is always ready to help those team who are running in bad patches. Before this tour Australia were desperately looking for winning the matches and no one except India is the only country who has the courage to help other countries to boost there moral.
