Kris Srikanth needs to resign. Tamil quota killed indian cricket
by kumar on Jan 06, 2012 10:45 PM

The Simple answer is Krish Srikanth. He created this whole mess of unhealthy environment. He selected players based on regional feelings. He also selected questionable players so that his tamil nadu players can get selected with no issues.Look at the players he selected from Tamil Nadu

Murali Vijay - Failer miserably
Abhinav Mukund - Failer miserably
Badri -Failer miserably
Dinesh karthik - Forget about it. Too much waste of investment
and Now Ashwin -- Too many chances as a backup player. Was on bench for nearly 2 years in the name of grooming

He made questionable decisions/blunders so that he can select the Tamil nadu players. Questionable decisions are
1) Suresh Raina in tests
2) Yuvraj Singh in tests even after repeated failures
3) Saha
4) parthiv patel as opener in some matches
5) Amit Mishra even after failures
6) Lot of bowlers who bowls only between 110 to 125 kmph

He didn;t give opportunites to following players when there was time to develop backup players fully. He didn;t give opportunities to players like

Rohit Sharma in tests
A Rahane
Pujara
Rayudu
M Pandey
Ohja - Instead only Ashwin got opportunities.

This created the big mess and I don;t think anyone can fix this issue.

It is better to remove Srikanth and also BCCI Secretary Srinivasan. They are trying to create a situation where they want full control over the team

SRT is the culprit!!!
by Rick Shaw on Jan 06, 2012 10:45 PM

I agreee with some folks suggesting to drop SRT...as he is the highest run scorer from Indian team on this tour (226 @ modest avg. 56)..which discourages other batsman to perform as they can not achieve even that avg..& do not perform!!! BTW...second highest runs are by Ashwin 143!!! That says it all!!!

This is actually good for India and Indians. I am hoping and praying that this losing will continue and will become more worse in the days to come. Let them fail so much that that the cricket crazy people of this country will get fed-up of them and give away wasting their time in watching this game of sdfsdftupppiid’s days together. And use the same time to develop some skill which will benefit their own future and in-turn will benefit this nation.
So, let’s pray together that this stdfduppppppppid team will lose all the games and that too more badly than they are losing right now

Relax..the serise not over yet!!

I dont understand some of the comments here. The series is not over yet, and dont forget that this is the same team that gave us the world cup and no1 ranking in tests.A few losses later, and all is forgotten? WIns and losses are part of the game, and the losses in ENgland were more due to injuries and scheduling. I think the scheduling needs to be better, because after that tour, india played back to back ODI series and then flew to Aussies.Any team on the road all the time is bound to have it tough. And also factor in that the Aussies crowd were abusing the Indian players, so how can one expect 100pc concentration? There are a lot of factors and its a matter of time before team India clicks

You seem to be totally uninformed
on Cricket matters. Indian Cricketers have a singular Weak
ness while negotiating the Moving
Ball for atleast sixty years. Very few of them can face it.
The exceptions were Vishwanath, Vijay Manrekar, etc.
So dont go by their super performances on Dead Indian Wickets, tailored for their success.

Yes. Negotiating the Moving Ball is the real Challenge for all [Not only for the Indian Batsmen]. But we are worse off in this Dept. as evident from the Margin of Defeat in many Test Matches.
Where Spinners dominate, we will certainly win. That is why Spin-friendly Wickets in India so that India will win, the Crowds will come and make BCCI Rich!
