dhoni-post match comments. before start of the series- v r good team n v vl try to win the series. after 1st test- v cudnt adjust to conditions, but ther r 3 more to go n v vl bounce back. after 2nd test, nothing is lost, v vl win both the remaining tests n draw the series. after 3rd test defeat- series is lot but not the pride, v vl save our pride in final test. after 4th test defeat - v r nt bad side, but 'somehow' v didnt play to our 'potential' otherwise, the same 'talented' bunch had won series at 'home(!!!)'

This way this TEST TEAM can get get adequate rest and are always fresh mentally and physically for each test match with good many months gap in betwee tours. Atleast 20 cricketers could be groomed only for Test matches and another 20 groomed only for ODIs and T20s.
Can't we find 40 people in a cricket crazy population of a billion people ? We have atleast 15 good states playing Ranji / domestic cricket every year. Small countries with sparse population produce world class Test players while we India are blessed with a cricket passionate population and yet we stick to some bunch of players forever and ask only those 11 or 15 to play 365 days in a year. Can't we have 2 sets of cricketers (40 players)- one each for TESTs and ODI/T20 from these states ?

INDIA HAD THE LIKES OF SUNIL GAVASKAR, VISHWANATH, VENGSARKAR, MOHINDER AMARNATH, RAVI SHASTRI WHO CAN JUST BAT OUT HOURS N HOURS, DAY AFTER DAY. SUCH QUALITIES PLAYERS ARE NO MORE IN THE SQUAD. CRICKET GAME HAS BECOME SO FAST AFTER INTRODUCTION OF TWENTY 20 GAMES THAT IT HAS AFFECTED THE MINDSET OF EVEN QUALITY PLAYERS. ITS VERY IMPORTANT FOR THE YOUNGER GROUP OF PLAYERS LIKE VIRAT, ROHIT SHARMA AND SURESH RAINA TO ADOPT PLAYING IN TEST MATCHES. IF YOU LOOK THE TOP PLAYERS MENTIONED ABOVE THEY HAD GOOD ONE DAY RECORDS AS WELL. THEY KNEW TO ADOPT WELL.
sachin please play ur natural game when you are reaching ur 100th Ton. Because being more cautious results in your downfall. So please be positive and play your shots so that ur milestone is achieved and the team will also gain from that. get to 94 and hit a six , get to 96 and hit a four. thats it.
Separate One day and T20 team from test team. There cannot be players playing in both the formats at the same time. It is apparent how the Indians got out in second innings when one big wicket fell. Two or three wickets fell successively due to rash shots. Also lapse in concentration after putting up a decent total is also due to the perils of one day cricket. Whats the need for laxman to score quickly on day 4? Tendulkar got out to a mediocre delivery mainly because of lack of concentration... In test cricket its the temperament - like sunny gavaskar possessed - thats crucial. Tendulkar is in that mould and so is Dravid, but mixing up one days and test cricket just kills their ability to focus... so much seems lacking when there a quality bowling attack has to be faced for a sustained period of time (i.e without any time limits..)
How the opponents do.. thats probably because they also have good bowling attack and another area which is lacking for India. Any ideas?
