Only once in 2-3 years he can make century. It is about time he quits cricket with some dignity.

no all make big runs, rahul has most runs in 2011, laxman is 2nd inning match winner and sachin is still going strong with no decline in form
Ponting should retire

SRT is the culprit
by Rick Shaw on Jan 06, 2012 11:42 PM  | Hide replies

I agreee with some folks suggesting to drop SRT...as he is the highest run scorer from Indian team on this tour (226 @ modest avg. 56)..which discourages other batsman to perform as they can not achieve even that avg..& do not perform!!! BTW...second highest runs are by Ashwin 143!!! That says it all!!!

and still these ppl without brains target sachin and ashwin... ppl can't tolerate other's success and they have to beach about it... when kohli was not selected, they criticized the selectors... now since he doesn't bat, they cricticize the selectors for not selecting rohit... when he doesn't play they still complain that kohlie is not in the team... these ppl have very weak memory... how come a player dropped coz of some bad series be a macth winner in the next series due to someone else in the current squad not playing good???

I hate this situation...

Indians are not good players of pace bowling. Remember The england series. same result.

This match atleast indians bowled outside the stumps unlike aussies, another reason why such huge score was posted.

Now its time to rotate seniors & underperformers so bench birds get experience and atleast improve. else remember we have to send school boys just like gavaskar said in england.

Seniors need to be rotated
by signup on Jan 06, 2012 11:09 PM  | Hide replies

Simple way out is rotate the seniors & low performers should also be rotated, which in a way gives experience to bench birds & also improve second-tier outside india. India are basically not good players of pace bowling. in this test, indians were found to bowl outside the stumps most often (90%) while aussies bowled inside most often. that makes the difference.

Statistics also show that when India needs runs from Sachin, its because rest of the top order batsmen have miserably failed.

Checkout who is the next highest run scorer for India after Sachin.
Hint: He is a rookie spinner playing the second Test series of his career.
Surprised? Dont be

Look at the bright side
by Gurjot Singh on Jan 06, 2012 11:03 PM  | Hide replies

1. India scored 400
2. One of the Aussie bowlere is gone
3. Gambhir and VVS got their form back
4. Sachin continues to excel
5. If Australi had batted first, they would have met the same fate. Flip of the coin decided the outcome

India "Obsessed" with "Sachin"
by RAKESH NAIR on Jan 06, 2012 11:02 PM

In next "Birth" sachin should choose either "Tennis" or "Golf" or ".." as sports to Excel..
The Surprising fact is inspite of "Humiliation" by "Aussies" some Individual players Like "Sachin","Dhoni", "Sehwag" is so "Happy"
These "Individual players" have become so "Powerful" & "Arrogant" that they are so sure of there "Place" in the side.
The Time has come to say "Goodbye" to "Sachin",still he is the "best batsmen" but his "Appetite" for playing for "Team India" has gone & he is Surviving only becoz of his "Personal Records"
"Sachin" can only "bat",his "Fitness" is so poor that "Dhoni" has to "hide" him in the Field & most of the time he is in the "Dressing" room at the time of "Fielding".
