Separate One day and T20 team from test team.

There cannot be players playing in both the formats at the same time. It is apparent how the Indians got out in second innings when one big wicket fell. Two or three wickets fell successively due to rash shots. Also lapse in concentration after putting up a decent total is also due to the perils of one day cricket.

Whats the need for laxman to score quickly on day 4? Tendulkar got out to a mediocre delivery mainly because of lack of concentration... In test cricket its the temperament - like sunny gavaskar possessed - thats crucial. Tendulkar is in that mould and so is Dravid, but mixing up one days and test cricket just kills their ability to focus... so much seems lacking when there a quality bowling attack has to be faced for a sustained period of time (i.e without any time limits..)

This has been an issue since the days of Srikkanth who scored quick runs in one dayers only to repeatedly fail in test matches...

test match requires greater skills and technique on a sustained basis.. which poor srikkanth did not have in good measure..

Now INdian team has so many srikkanth's in the form of sehwag, kohli, raina, gambhir, vvs, sachin etc...

translation of performance from one form to the other is the root cause of our batsmen failing on quality tracks and quality bowling

How the opponents do.. thats probably because they also have good bowling attack and another area which is lacking for India. Any ideas

Or he can be next Irfan Pathan.
Some Bloggers on this forum are 1diots.

Team india is losing only because of politics between sehwag and Dhob1...i have hardly seen captain and vice captain talking to each other...sehwag have just throw away his wickets while Dhob1 was intelligent to consider bump ball as foll toss lol...

"Sachin" & his "Records"
by RAKESH NAIR on Jan 07, 2012 04:13 AM  | Hide replies

In next "Birth" sachin should choose either "Tennis" or "Golf" or ".." as sports to Excel..
The Surprising fact is inspite of "Humiliation" by "Aussies" some Individual players Like "Sachin","Dhoni", "Sehwag" is so "Happy"
These "Individual players" have become so "Powerful" & "Arrogant" that they are so sure of there "Place" in the side.
The Time has come to say "Goodbye" to "Sachin",still he is the "best batsmen" but his "Appetite" for playing for "Team India" has gone & he is Surviving only becoz of his "Personal Records"
"Sachin" can only "bat",his "Fitness" is so poor that "Dhoni" has to "hide" him in the Field & most of the time he is in the "Dressing" room at the time of "Fielding".

hi to all in this series only sachin made highest score for india. none of batsmen couldnt play well . ya i agreed that sachin is now focusing on his 100 centuary this hamper his performance as well as team also perform poorly. look viru he just play like domestic cricket , nvr has value for his own wicket , if he played good inng we all will seen differ picture . and wat about dhoni , he just played hockey . just got out and his bad performance is continue

SRT is the culprit!!!!
by Rick Shaw on Jan 06, 2012 11:52 PM  | Hide replies

I agreee with some folks suggesting to drop SRT...as he is the highest run scorer from Indian team on this tour (226 @ modest avg. 56)..which discourages other batsman to perform as they can not achieve even that avg..& do not perform!!! BTW...second highest runs are by Ashwin 143!!! That says it all!!!

Amusing to hear comments that Sachin is playing for himself.
Dravid and Sachin are two greats of the game. Dravid scored 3 hundreds in England..what good did it do to team India?

Bottomline is most of our batsmen have been out-thought by a superior side. They have the skills and they deliver.

Each of our batsmen were thought out by Aussies except Sachin.

Sehwag - Bowl short outside the offstump and be patient, he will hit it to gully.

Gambhir - slant the ball across him and he will push at it

Dravid - DOn't bowl outside the offstump as he will leave it 9 out of 10 times. Attack the stumps and Dravd with slowing reflexes will miss the line.

Laxman - Hangs on the back foot. Keep on pushing him back and then bowl a full length ball to which he will drive and edge.

Kohli - No big deal. Slight deviation is enough.

Dhoni - Make him fish outside the offstump

What did our bowlers except Zaheer do? Once the pitch stopepd assisting bowelrs, they had no clue as to what to do. Bad fielding placements ensured that they were all over the place.

Mr. Rick Shaw,
ONly u r blaming...I agree with punka jackson's comments.. No meaning in blaming SRT.. We hv only 2 greats who can play overseas Sachin & Dravid...They cann't win & Save all the matches everytime abroad.. New generation of crikceters should take over their resposibilites...Moreover even blowers are to be blamed.. On a flat track Aussies bowlers are able to get wkts not Indian bowlers..It is a common scenario in all overseas tours.

Re: Tamil Quota killed the team. Ashwin needs to take wickets
by veda giri on Jan 07, 2012 09:24 AM
Its utter crap what you are saying. Badri played only two test matches and scored a fifty against Steyn attack.

Mukund played in two test series against west Indies and England away. With exception of Dravid, no one scored runs in those two series.

Karthik, too much of investments! What a joke? When India won Test series against England in England in 2007, he and Wasim Jaffer put on formidable opening partnerships.

Ashwin is second leading scorer for India in this Australia Series. Also regarding wickets, even Lyon, off spinner from Australia didn't pick up wickets in this Series.

Giving opportunity to Raina, Yuvraj, Saha, Parthiv is a way to select Tamilnadu players? You have become insane.

Your favourite players scored runs heavily in India. Let them score some runs outside also.

Everyone has grudge against some one. But you have to point out facts before posting comments.

When you kannada people stop hating Tamils, Marathas, Telugus, North India. Do you think USA and European companies will save you all the time?
