Re: Tamil Quota killed the team. Ashwin needs to take wickets
by veda giri on Jan 07, 2012 09:24 AM
Its utter crap what you are saying. Badri played only two test matches and scored a fifty against Steyn attack.
Mukund played in two test series against west Indies and England away. With exception of Dravid, no one scored runs in those two series.
Karthik, too much of investments! What a joke? When India won Test series against England in England in 2007, he and Wasim Jaffer put on formidable opening partnerships.
Ashwin is second leading scorer for India in this Australia Series. Also regarding wickets, even Lyon, off spinner from Australia didn't pick up wickets in this Series.
Giving opportunity to Raina, Yuvraj, Saha, Parthiv is a way to select Tamilnadu players? You have become insane.
Your favourite players scored runs heavily in India. Let them score some runs outside also.
Everyone has grudge against some one. But you have to point out facts before posting comments.
When you kannada people stop hating Tamils, Marathas, Telugus, North India. Do you think USA and European companies will save you all the time?
Sachin should immediately retire after reaching his milestone, and become India's batting coach . A dedicated professional like him is the need of the hour. Zaheer khan , another senior pro must immediately retire after the australian series and take up the bowling coach assignment. Robin singh should be reinstated as the fielding coach .Ravi shashri should be made the chief coach . India will really do well .We should have a completely Indian bunch.

I agreee with some folks suggesting to drop SRT...as he is the highest run scorer from Indian team on this tour (226 @ modest avg. 56)..which discourages other batsman to perform as they can not achieve even that avg..& do not perform!!! BTW...second highest runs are by Ashwin 143!!! That says it all!!!

that's not the point SRT is always a spineless fellow and only thinks about his own freaking ing record. of course millions of dollars are depending on him and so are the rons like Shastry and Gavaskar whose money depends on Sachin marketing muscles. Ravi Shahstry as coach - well he wears the pans reversely and possibly the most hated player of his time inthe world

Wah Wah wat a comment by Mr.Sudip majumder.. Gud Analysis:) keep it up.. Go & learn ladies Koko first & then talk about cricket.. This is the main problem of Indian public.. Always they will comment about performers ...Now everyboyd are blaming SRT for playing well whne others don't play...Even Dravid got the same blow ind England....What others are doing in the team.. If sachin, Dravid retire that is the end of Indian Test cricket... Dhoni can win only t20s ODIs abroad...

Mr. Ricky Shaw,
It is very silly & funny to see ur comments..How sachin's performace will discourage others ??????????One has to learn the mistake by seeing others performing.. Very very silly kiddish comment by u
Actually India lost the match on the very first day itself. India's main strength always been the batting and whatever overseas win have come they have been on the strength of batting. For the two series starting with the England tour the batting has let down India very badly. And in Test cricket performance in any one area always affects the other. So, poor batting not even able to get 200 runs was sure to affect the bowling also. The dismal batting could be attributed to the repeated disastrous ‘opening’ whether in England or now in Australia. Actually the opening pair of Sehwag-Gambhir have let down Dhoni and team India very badly. The Aussies are so tactical that they have deliberately allowed repeated life to Gambhir in this game, a settled win for them already to ensure that India plays an out of form Gambhir at the top again for the 3rd Test. A Sehwag ‘lottery’ at one end and a Gambhir ‘weak link’ at the other end is the clever Aussie gambit for the 3rd Test Indian opening. For middle order batting stability it is essential that both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma play even if it means dropping a senior. Also, Dhoni and Ashwin should come up the order or may be Ashwin can open the innings with Rohit Sharma. Sehwag can bat at no.10 followed by Gambhir at no.11.Further, for effective wicket taking bowling it has to be ‘in tandem’ tight bowling from both ends. Ashwin cannot be expected to take wickets if runs are being leak

(contd.)...being leaked in droves at the other end.

Even spinner on other side, Lyon didn't pick up wickets. Why you guys grudge Tamils in every aspect of life?
Kerry O Keefe is a former Australian legspinner and coach, now commentates on ABC Radio. He is really funny. When asked whether India will make Aus bat again His reply: Kohli is only getting 50% of his match fees so he will stay at the wicket only half his normal time" Really amusing
Re: my team for perth

the above team is well balanced with 5 specialist batsmen and two 'part time batsmen' in dhoni and ashwin. and a pace battery of 4 so that they can take advantage of perth pitch.
