Simply link reward to performance . . Non performers should be fined , they will change . They have become assured of financial security . India is not CRICKET TEAM only . s c kapoor
Ravinder Jadeja,Suresh Raina,Ashwin,Vinay, All these players have no guts to give a match winning innings performance all are useless,Bring back Yusuf Phthan,RP singh,Robin Uthappa, Harbhajna Singh, Sourabh Tiwari, Ajinkya Rhane. Choose the players From Pinjab State & Haryana Like YuvRaj & Harbhajan, BCCI Does't know how to select the players, Remember Yuvi Six Sixes, and Harbhajan Fighting Spirit may be BCCi Playing Politics otherwise we have good quality players there is no reason that we can't beat the other team,
The intention behind every team selection should be to win matches... Seems the BCCI selection board has some other intention. Sachin had opted out for West Indies Tour.. but he quickly got ready for England and Australia tour.. why? These guys just want to tour with family and enjoy tehir time.. Indian people think they are going to play and win !!!

Matte Matte,Unfortunately Sachin does not own Restaurants in WI but he got in London and AUS.So he can kill two birds with a stone in UK and AUs but not in WI.

hey man westindies have lot of places to watch and enjoy..wht u think abt west indies?? its a awsom country for enjoyment with family
Continuing with sehwag and sachin does not serve india's interests anymore. I do not know how these two ageing players would contribute to Indian cricket in coming years. Instead its best to field promising youngsters so that they get some valuable exposure and r not relegated to just ranji and IPL games...

"Promising" youngsters like Rohit, Raina, Gambhir, Dhoni, Ashwin who keep promising, but not delivering?

when India lose with these so called gr8 legends, then I feel its better to lose with inexperienced "promising" youngsters... Also the most important thing that needs to happen in Indian cricket is: Politics should be kept out of sports.... Sports n politics do not go together and would be a deadly cocktail and the results r there for all of us to see.

so u mean to say continue with sehwag and sachin till they r 60... good going.. when a legendary batsman like Ricky Ponting can be shown the door in ODI's I do not understand what is the purpose of retaining these two who have lost their reflexes completely and would do no good if they continue to play for India... one batsman is purely chasing records and the other one is in the team owing to his recent double hundred on a dead soil against a hapless windies attack.

Your point taken partly. The article is on ODI cricket. You are using Test Cricket examples. BTW, Virat has also scored a ton overseas in Tests.
