Sehwag, Tendulkar

Sehwag should be played a few tests and 1-dayers against Kenya to get his momentum back. Sachin, on the other hand, should try himself against the likes of Zimbabwe, get his 100th century and move on.

the 3 tendulkar, gambhir and sehwag have become politician
by D S on Feb 24, 2012 06:26 AM  | Hide replies

among the 3, gambhir is the biggest politician followed by tendulkar and then sehwag. We can say that sehwag got hit by wrong side of the age. He could have done better if he did not get entangled in the selectors politics.

So very true, but the boss of all is Dhoni. Biggest politician ever played in Indian cricket. Hats off.

Seniors or Juniors ???????
by ALLADI on Feb 23, 2012 01:42 PM

If Sachin and Sehwag do not play it is impossible for India to go to final in try series. you may blame both the players for their poor performances but simultaneously you have to accept this irony also.
young stars are also useless

Is Dhoni the best player
by Arunava Kar on Feb 23, 2012 01:10 PM

Dhoni feels that playing young players will save 20 rus but he forgets that when a batsmen saves runs in the field and does not score sufficiently it makes no point and moreover why not play manoj tiwari as he is also a very good fielder but Dhoni's excessive backing policy is surely not good for the teams interest.

Is dhoni good fielder behind stumps
by jaleel sha on Feb 23, 2012 12:52 PM  | Hide replies

Most of the times, dhoni slips the catches, and missing the stumpings, is it means he is very bad in behind stumps, tendulkar and shewag are taking very good catches and stop many runs on the out field. Even rohit also miss some catches in CB series, Is dhoni say he is the perfect fielder?

The rule should be applicable to all....
by rasheed basha on Feb 23, 2012 11:59 AM

The rule of perform or perish should be applicable to all the players of the team. We should not target a selected group of players calling them as senior players may not be acceptable. Look at the average of the Dhoni during the test series and the average of the suresh raina. Are they not be punished because of their poor form? As Manjrekar rightly said that the selection does not have the luxury of the support of the fans and media. If you rest Dhoni, i guess it will be another "Ann Movement" in India. It is the fans and media how has to support the selector so that the young guys with aspiration to represent India will get a chance based on their performance.

Surprisingly, we allow the players to gain the lost form at the cost of nation. We will not allow them to go and play the domestic cricket and gain the form. We give as many chances as required so that the player can hit a hundred and then goes into out form again.

Rahul Dravid is the only player at the senior level, to the best of my knowledge, is playing the ranji matches. I think the seniors should learn from hi.
