Pakistan has shown that it is young blood and no stars that win you matches. we stick to stars to lose matches. BCCI should decide what they want, win matches or Star worship. Till our old stars like Tandlukar, Dravid and Lakishman are in the team , we cannot win. Youngsters like Ashwin, Jadeja and Kohli can win us matches and not aging horses.

So according to you we should have Sachin, Dravid, Zaheer, Dhoni, Sehwag, Yuvraj etc. retire and make a team with all youngsters at once. Have you ever even played gali cricket also or are you just one of those fanatic cricket fans who has no idea how a team is build but has opinion on everything.

Give Tandulkar another 100 matches to acore his 100th Century, even if Team India loses another 100 tests.-Why not after all he is a mumbaikar, like Gavaskar

We Need MORE ASHWINS IN THE CURRENT SIDE
by NEALES GRACIAS on Feb 09, 2012 02:49 PM

We need more people like Ashwin in this Indian Cricket team if we are to win and keep the Indian Tricolor flying high at all times. Aswin is dedicated and you can see it in his actions and mannerisms on the field. he is a fighter and plays for the team. One can be sure of him taking wickets and also not giving too many runs as well as scoring runs when it comes to batting...JAAGO INDIA JAAGO...AUR ASHWIN JAISE PLAYER KO KHELNE KA MAUKA DO...DONT CHOOSE PLAYERS BECUASE OF THEIR PAST LAURELS AS WE NEED A TEAM THAT DELIVERS. NO POLITICS AND INFLUENCE BASAED SELECTIONS ANYMORE...PLEASEEEEEEE.

Gavaskar is right, because Sachin looked in good touch whereas Sehwag has been gifting his wicket quite consistantly now and needs a shock. If Gambhir doesnt play well in next match then Rohit,Tiwari or Irfan should open with Sachin. Sehwag should be sent back home so that he can prepare for next series with NZ in Septamber in home condition where he will still be useful.

there is no such thing as gavaskar is right...tendulkar has also failed to deliver on this tour...my saying is that if a player, no matter who he is, does not deliver then keep him on the bench to recover and understand the game better from the outside well someone else is given a chance to perform.

That is what they did by dropping Gambhir in one match and Sehwag in another match.

mukesh; your statement is like because a murder is committed by mistake a person should not be punished Whereas he should be punished is it was consciously done. A failure is a failure. let not get carried away because he has scored tons in the past. he is failing badly nowadays and need to apply same yardstick as that of Sehwag or Gambhir.

What is your measure of failure? Could you provide any stats? Let's consider the past 1 year which should fall in line with your 'nowadays' statement and calculate his avg and the rest of the Indian batsmen avg. Just because he is not scoring 100s doesn't mean he is failing. The whole team is performing badly. Just 1 year ago people like you were rooting for him and look at you guys right now calling for his head. Let me tell you something you probably would not understand. Criticizing someone is the easiest thing to do in the time of the difficult times. It takes guts to find the right thing in someone when everything is going wrong and you are loosing. I can understand your frustration on India loosing so many matches. But don't call Sachin a failure because of how the whole team is performing.

Best if he had retired from cricket on high of world cup win
by hanif muhammed on Feb 09, 2012 02:41 PM  | Hide replies

Tendulkar would have had an honorable exit if he had retired from indian team on world cup win. The 100 hundreds that people are fooling him with are in different formats..Also he knows that the gret Don Bradman retired with 99.9 average. He could have gone with 99 figure. He could have guided youngsters from being captain of mumbai indians side
