He should play..............
by Bishwanath Chakraborty on Feb 09, 2012 04:05 PM

Friends, Sachin is closer to finishing line that we all know............& there are many ODIs (like the WI series) from which he excuses to prepare for a bigger series...........Such series (WI one) can be & should be utilised to groom young players..........Actually he should have played that series & got the 'monkey off his back' (100th ton)................CB series is a very important one & he should play in all the matches........His ego is bruised in the Test series & the gr8 player that he is, he would like to silence the critics in this ODI series and return from down under with his head held high...........He also looked gud in the ODI against SL.............And don't forget in the last CB series we won back to back finals (which is very rare in Aus) and in both the matches his contribution was immense............& if at all rotation policy is applicable then y it is for the 3 openers...............Irfan Pathan is carrying drinks for quite some time now.

and sachin -39.. are we planning for a veterns team or what? Please infuse young blood like Rohit at the expense of Sachin. This guy still plays well ..is capable of creating more records..but what is the use. We need to prepare the youngsters for these roles.

age gaya tel lene...Sachin is wise enough when to call it a day. All we need is India win, for that Sachin's presence is utterly important...when he is at crease everything seems to be very normal, calm and smooth but the moment he gets out lineup seems pretty vulnerable. how can you forget how many matches he has won for us. All these years sheer happiness we all got watching cricket mainly bcoz of him. Tell me one youngster apart from bit kohli, who has a sound technique. Baba apna Kamandal utao aur bhago yahan se...

forced to disagree with you. There are very matches he has won for the india. Rather there is a saying that at each time he scores a century; India looses the match. Unlike Steve Waugh; Sachin was not a consistent match winner for India.

Vinayak Deshpande:

If our loss at Adelaide was due to Kohli's century, I agree with your analysis then... :)
