sachin's forced retirement
by vilas apte on Dec 26, 2012 10:20 AM  | Hide replies

one mumbai english daily has reported that dhoni told srinivasan(BCCI Chairman) a day before the meeting the selection conmmittee was to meet for selecting the team for ODI's against pakistan, that he did not want sachin in the side as he was a liability. this was conveyed to sandeep patil the selection committee chairman, who in turn sounded sachin thereby forcing him to announce his retirement. however dhoni covered up his action by passing accolades on sachin's humility, how double faced are our cricketers.

But that how it goes ..he must have retired after the WC 2011 itself.. they atleast have not put him to shame by removing him till now.

Yeah. Will be fun to watch Kohli like someone scratch around a century to retain his place in tests. ;-)

Retirement should have been from test cricket as well

He is a pale copy of what he was even till 2009.It has been a decline since then.It is very unlikely that he will be able to perform against apace attack of Aussies who have more sting then English bowlers

FYI the pale shadow still performs reasonably well. Check his performance till 2009.
And thereafter.
Agree that He failed in the Eng series which even Kohli did. But pls dont write him off like you did on 2007..,

No one including great Sachin can turn the clock back.It is not possible to be consistent scorer at 40 yrs of age.Kohli has lready hit moree centuries in his first 3 yrs of international cricket then Sachin for your information & that does not qualify him o be a better player then Sachin.
