The team can not live on past performance. The captain has to be a good student of the game. If anyone had studied how effectively Pakistan had bowled to Cook, India could have fared better. Even assuming Cook would have ironed out those issues, it would have probed him much more than what Indians did. Neither bowling was aimed at weaknesses nor field placements were used intelligently for different batsmen based on any study of their previous Test matches.
Develop a team with wicket taking bowlers. Show faith in young pace bowlers like Umesh Yadav, Unadkat, Awana, Sandeep Sharma etc and develop them under guidance of someone like Wasim Akram.
Change of captaincy is the first thing that is needed.

Your article is good, but with regard to Dhoni, who has no plans as captain, does not require any further time at the helm. Kohli needs to settle down. See Kohli's performance, very patchy abroad excepting one 1oo in Aus. In the home series against Eng too he failed miserably and scored a 100 in the Nagpur test. Its premature to spoil him with captaincy. On any count Dhoni need not continue as captain, as he is incapable of thinking positive, and change plan A to plan B, because he doesnt have one.
Can you please share what is your contribution to Indian Cricket before you write about Sachin or any other player? It is not really understandable that you couldn't find real reason behind team India losses. Can you please find out how many times Indian bowlers could take 20 wickets in a test match and at what strike rate? To win test matches you need to take 20 odd wickets of opposition. You can not expect batsman to score 500 every time they play.
