Their shortcoming has always been been their dearth of pace bowlers....actually none to speak of. This paucity will ensure continued defeat at the hands of Britlanders, SAfrilanders and especially Ozlanders.
How much do you expect..? u are bundled out less than 300runs in secnd innings, where opening partnership almost 35% of toal score.
These so called middle order batsmen incl young so called talented batsmen what they have done so far? Answer is most of them are dialing telephone numberon field, if you look int their score.. They feel ashamed_that a bowler Aswhin is playing more confidently and comfortably than these bunch of_jokers.
Not sure when Sachin will realize tht his days are over long time back, and should leave the place gracefully rathe forcible with boo_from audiences. Dhoni, for him its better to step down after this series, an need to understand that batting in test is not playing helicopter shots in ODIs. This format is not his cup of tea, same thing apply to Yuvi, and Kohli..both failed meserably and not sure why they are not playing some genuine test players like Badrinath or Tiwary (who got injured recently).
It will be miracle if they can able to win NAgpur test..such a_shame not able to judge spin bowling in India..
And, aboutbolwing dept. the lesser you speak, the better you feel. Absolutely no clue about our bowlers how take 20 wkts even in India. Ojha shows some courage, Ashwin shown only in first test..rest he was failured badly, except his batting. Rest of fast bowlers, all are toothless.. Good luck to team India..

Dhoni is worst ever indian captain, full of arrogance,he should be replaced by Kohli,sachin shold not retire at this juncture,after team is full set he can take the call, he is needed in dressing room after absence of dravid and laxman
Test team should be: rahane u chand pujara (vice capt.) tendulkar (if doesnt perform replace with rayudu) kohli (capt.) sehwag dhoni (wk) if doesnt perform replace with saha i. pathan yadav ojha awana ashwin (12th man)

i wish i cud add myself but u got to be practical. sachin probably has a 6 months to a year left in him. no doubt he should retire from ODI's but let him continue in test cricket to guide the youngsters. karthink sounds okay as well instead of saha. ashwin shud be 12th man till he gets back in form.
Kambli rose to greater heights in TEST cricket after hitting back-2-back double hundreds against England & Zimbabwe in the 90's.. after that it was a downward slide.. poor fellow was in/out of the Indian team and later on settle down for a commentator job with melodrama and antics.. Gambhir is going the same way.. however, this is the era of IPL.. he has earned enough to survive for the rest of his life...
