Gambhir is the new Kambli..
by Jaguar on Dec 10, 2012 10:01 PM

Kambli rose to greater heights in TEST cricket after hitting back-2-back double hundreds against England & Zimbabwe in the 90's.. after that it was a downward slide.. poor fellow was in/out of the Indian team and later on settle down for a commentator job with melodrama and antics.. Gambhir is going the same way.. however, this is the era of IPL.. he has earned enough to survive for the rest of his life...

Gotchi
Here is the solution
by Gotchi on Dec 10, 2012 09:35 PM

For all forms of cricket Test ODI and T20 Decide on a minimum IPL qualifying criteria. Only the players who meet that criteria should be allowed to play in next year's IPL. Rest IPL players must be picked up from new faces and foreign players.

This should teach them a lesson of consistent performance. Also IPL owners would put enough pressures on these players to perform in matched played for India. IPL should be a reward. Not a default.

Cuplrit - Ashwin
by Basavaraja on Dec 10, 2012 04:48 PM  | Hide replies

Dear all peoples of India - an very Good Evening. My name is Basavaraja from Bengaluru.

Today I am talk about the yesterday match and our team selector.

We lose yesterday match because of the main cuplrit - Ravichandran Ashwin. He have no brain. How can he remained on 91 and can't able to hit an century? If our Kumble from Bengaluru were given 91 runs means he easily hit an century.

Our Selector instead of removed the Harbhajan, he should removed the Ashwin. Harbhajan is an turbanator - he have proove many time before, what Ashwin have prove? Atleast bring back our Kumble, he is feel very bore at home.

If Zaheer can play test match, why cannot our Prasad? He is world best slow-ball-pace-bowler. Now they removed Zaheer, then what our Vinay Kumar done? He already taken in team many time, he must filled the shoe of Zaheer Khan.

They done correct by removed the Yuvraj. But why select the Jadeja? Ravindra Jadeja is an flat wicket bulli. He hitted both triple centurys on Rajkot which is an batsmens paradise. What happen to our Robin Utapa? He can bat good than Yuvraj and wicket keep good than Dhoni.

It all because of that Srikantha my Dear friend.

Srikantha is angry me.

Sachin statement
by Maru on Dec 10, 2012 04:30 PM  | Hide replies

Mr. Sachin openly challenged every one by giving a statement like "I know when to retire as like none has decided his entry". Very arrogant statement. For the past 13 tests his contribution was almost zero. If someone else would have been in his place (poor guys like Zahir, Harbhajan) they might haved thrown out from the team, but our great selectors are worried about doing the same with Sachin with only a pressure or fear from business circles that they have invested huge on Sachin.
Tell me in how many incidents where a support is required from the so called best batsman was properly delivered, I would say very few as whenever he requires to play, he will show the back.
Take the examples of Kapil, Azhar, Ganguly, now Dhoni, they have encouraged lot of players and supported to their best. Give one example where Sachin encouraged such a player and stood in support of him?. Now we all cry for Sachin's inclusion in team is requried as he will support the team - what a foolish thinking.

Guru Greg
by Smart on Dec 10, 2012 04:22 PM  | Hide replies

Was the best coach that we had...with due respect to dada and his supporters...he was point blank and brought the aggression with him which the seniors found too tough to handle...they dont like them questioned and started revolting...if we have given an extended run and had the board supported Chappel, we would have had the best team and would have become world beaters..we had world record of consecutive wins while chasing, series wins in Eng,WI and our first Test victory in SA..he was too aggressive in getting the team prepared for the WC which the seniors simply failed to understand..they put themselves before the country and not the other way around...and Dravid was deemed a puppet..actually he was one of a great thinking captain we had...Greg's motto was simple, keep fit, perform or perish..do not stay in team on past histories or charisma..Kirsten never intervened with the board and let the board run the team...fletcher is in two minds whether to dictacte or dance to the captain's tunes..so bring back Greg...crack a whip to the board and non performing players..save indian cricket

compared to Duncan "good for nothin" Fletcher, Greg Chappel would appear to be a boon...

I think India would be better off having someone like Mohinder Amarnath as coach, as he not only comes from a great cricketing family and also was a performer in crunch time when the team needed him the most ('83 WC semi-finals and finals), moreover he is not afraid to call a spade a spade and has often said that India should not continue with Dhoni as its test captain....

Openers did well in all the tests
by pradeep agarwal on Dec 10, 2012 04:08 PM

It is very strange that the article is blaming openers who have 3 over 50 runs stand in 6 innings while keeping silent on the bigger failures of Sachin & MSD.What has Sachin done in the series except a very edgy 76 in Calcutta where too he left when he should have played a bigger knock. The Captain is a chicken who is always looking for excuses to explain the loss.Bowling was a failure in Mumbai while they were not supported in field in Calcutta while won the match in Ahmedabad
