No one has right to question Sachin
by krishna v on Dec 10, 2012 01:21 PM  | Hide replies

Sachin has the right to retire whenever he feels right. He has said he is enjoying the game. But, whether he is in team can be decided by selectors. he can retire from the game being out of team also. many cricketers have done that, and it is no rule that he has to be in team when he retires.

Shame on you!...All we have right to say against him...u may be blind supporter of him but that he is enjoying the game will not definitely count here...It is like u people that India is lagging here behind other nations because of such hero worship!

There is only ONE Culprit and that is DHONI
by rajkamal dubey on Dec 10, 2012 01:18 PM  | Hide replies

and we dont even want to speak aboout his batting...having an 1d1ot as a captain will always lead to disaster...the less said about his captaincy and f00lish decisions the better....the truth is this 1d1ot never had any cricketing brains...India was winning matches because of the good form of one or the other 10 players and this LUCKY FREE RIDING PARASITE called DHONI was pocketing all the credit for Indian victories (thanks to the brands he endorses and the media)

But as a Batsman, Dhoni is also not doing well. You should create example first, and then ask for something differnt

bcci shud talk

Before the series began everyone including selectors and the captain thought it was going to be a cake walk for the indians..hence they thought it wise to push their choice of players where there is no risk of loosing..this explains the sudden forced exit of Laxman who had no inkling that he wouldnt be playing the series..capt and selectors forced him out eventhough by his calibre he and Dravid had 2 more sublime years of cricket left in them..especially when Sachin was still playing at 38 and out of form too..such was the audacity of the captain that he thought that by getting spin pitches victory can be taken for granted..now the myth has cracked and India is no more safe for team India..now what kind of pitch to demand-sand pitch?
BCCI is fully responsible for this state of affairs of Indian cricket..They shud specify whether they favour tests anymore or only IPL which offers a lot of money and also opportunities to fix which explains their stubbornness against use of technology.

Kya Pharak Padta Hai !
by Mahesh Shanbhag on Dec 10, 2012 01:05 PM  | Hide replies

In today's Test match scenario, for the Indian cricketers -Attitude to win is totally missing, sure of place in the team due to past laurels, more concentration on Ads acquisition rather than practising & playing actual cricket.Just want to be in the team without performing & taking advantage of the selector's weakness.First selectors should hv "do or die" attitude & use their whip to all players to Perform or Perish without fear or favour, then we can expect better team & better performers.

You are absolutely right. Sports is all about fitness, form, technique, performance, results, positive attitude etc. No one should be above sport. Sport is ruthless where only the fittest and person who contributes to the result survives. Just look at England, SA and Australian players they train very hard. Their body language on the field is intimidating to the opposition. The fitness of such players is sky high. All bowlers look strong and energetic of such teams because in their country the selection criteria is very tough i.e perform or perish. They don't give importance to persons past laurels. Yes they do give many chances but if they don't improve they straightaway sack. Just look at Sehwag, Dhoni fitness they look very heavy and jaded. The captain's form and fitness itself is questionable. Our fast bowlers look as if they have come from some drought affected area. It appears that they are not working on their fitness and because of that their body language is negative. I heard Gavaskar said that many players in the team skip practice sessions. If this is true then India can't win anymore matches just on the basis of past reputation. It is sheer over confidence. Selectors should now show no mercy and sack under performing players. It is better to lose matches with young and fresh talent rather than with senior experienced players who are under performing. When will the selectors recruit new and fresh talent in the team and give them chance to perform?

KALKOTTA TEST - REAL CULPRIT
by Rangan NN on Dec 10, 2012 01:04 PM  | Hide replies

First - Selectors
Second - Gambhir - He is responsible for run out of Shewag and Pujara
Third - Tendulkar - failed in batting and most importantly fielding. He gave away lot runs on the field.
Fourth: Kholi - He did not play a responsible game
Fifth: Yuvraj Singh - Sympathy factor of selector did not work.
Dhoni failed in batting

Dhoni failed in just batting???? Have you really watched the test?

Poor batting, this is something he is consistent at in tests,

Poor wicket-keeping, ball went through his legs, at least twice. Forget about other misfields.

Poor captaincy. Absolutely monotonous decision making and no leading from the front whatsoever.

I really doubt whether we really won anything because of this man. Because We won Test mace and ODI World cup till we had Garry as coach. And the day he left India... team became bunch of losers who can beat only likes of bigger losers.

by vr hari on Dec 10, 2012 12:54 PM

You need to bowl & bat well. slow turn will NOT trouble good batsmen, but yes, fast turner like Kumble would certianly trouble all.. So we need to get some one like rahul sharma. As far the batting is concerned, i am still wondering why kohli is still there. he is just not suited to test matches. get rohit sharma, venugopal rao, rayudu....

Once a safe bastion for India....Home Condition...where even Australia at their prime couldn't beat us.It has became more of a habit to loose to top ranked teams in Tests.Sorely missing Dravid and Laxman.BCCI should ponder seriously to do away with Tests?Even our captain is not enjoying his stint in Test.what you have to say?
