Sack the coach, DUNCAN "good for nothing" FLETCHER
by asliSwadeshi on Dec 09, 2012 01:00 AM  | Hide replies

Everyone knows that there is no dearth of talent in the Indian cricket team, but the only problem is about the application of that talent.

This is where the Coach of the team comes into play. It is his job to help the players with whatever problems they have regarding their cricketing form, technique, etc.
Also, the bigger part of his job is to unite the dressing room and enthuse them with thoughts about winning and positive thinking...

But anyone can tell that the Indian dressing room is highly fragmented and the morale of the players is at an all-time low...

so, FOR THE SAKE OF INDIAN CRICKET & CRICKET LOVERS, SACK THE COACH DUNCAN "good for nothing" FLETCHER.....

BCCI

1. BCCI should go with DRS, however flawed it is. We are still losing without it. DRS would have helped us in the 2nd test in hindsight.

2. Denial of spin bowlers to England team for practice. Was kind of cheap. It seems in tour matches England did not give us green tops. But look at tje result now....

3. Graeme Swann is the best off spinner in the world with a clean action. I emphasize "clean action" as Saeed Ajmal/Bhajji are suspect.

4. I am a great fan of Sachin.... the story of my childhood was the rise of Sachin. Kiran More says they need Sachin to mentor the younger players. I would say, with extreme sadness, if they need a mentor why cannot Sachin be a batting coach for the team? He crumbles under pressure time and again....

Dhoni prepared his speech
by cc man on Dec 09, 2012 12:38 AM  | Hide replies

Ravi Shastri: What happened?
Dhoni: Well five things occurred in the pitch that caused the debacle.
1.Day 1: Nothing in pitch for the indian batsmen
2.Day 2: Nothing in pitch for the indian bowlers
3.Day 3: Nothing in pitch for the indian bowlers
4.Day 4: Nothing in pitch for the indian batsmen
5.Day 5: Nothing in pitch for the indian bowlers

Ravi Shashti: Yes. We all are hearing your great analysis. Any message you want to give?
Dhoni: If pitch curator does not listen to me, this is what happens. So, i request all to listen to my words and prepare pitch as per my demands.

Ravi Shastri: Which bowler you think you will always retain as long as ur captain?
Dhoni: Zaheer the best bowler I have ever seen. He is our bowling coach

Ravi Shastri: How about batting failures?
Dhoni: Ashwin will work with batsmen including Sachin. He is our batting coach

Ravi : What about 0-8 debacle in Australia and England?
Dhoni : Well, its the same story there as follows
1.Day 1: Nothing in pitch for the indian batsmen
2.Day 2: Nothing in pitch for the indian bowlers
3.Day 3: Nothing in pitch for the indian bowlers
4.Day 4: Nothing in pitch for the indian batsmen
5.Day 5: Nothing in pitch for the indian bowlers

Ravi: Any changes in the team for the next test?
Dhoni: No. We have been the best. Changes should be in the pitch

Ravi: Few more questions
Dhoni: Sorry, I have to rush for an adversitement, prepare for IPL as I feel thats the greatest thing

Sack Dhoni!

He didn't get the wicket to suit his purpose, hence the dismal performance. Needs no further comment.

Ground Reality
by Shreyas Shukla on Dec 08, 2012 11:52 PM  | Hide replies

Sehwag ---> Irresponsible
Gautham Gambhir ---> Lazy always involved in run outs
Virat Kohli ---> Give him his dues first series he has failed
Sachin Tendulkar ----> Spent force Opposition know his game He has been clean bowled by pacers and spinners. It's time for him
Cheteswar Pujara ----> Looks promising but have to prove outside India as well.
Yuvraj ---> can understand his fight back but yuvi was never a test material....
Dhoni---> compare the batting style of two test batsman Alaistar cook and Dhoni. Dhoni is brute power whereas Cook is pure skill. Dhoni is very effective in shorter version of the game but in test arena i think we need to replace him.....
Ashwin ----> we hired him for bowling but looks like he an all rounder.. need to nuture him and also advise him not to try too many things too early.
Ishant ---> just get back to nets growing hair again doesn't mean u got ur form back. Can't believe he the same bowler who gave Ricky sleepless nights on his debut.
Zaheer---> time for him to be a bowling coach
Ojha ----> conventional left arm spinner but did not see a delivery from him like panesar which spun other way and got tendulkar out LBW

Somebody like Ishant would be given fitness and nutrition advice. He has good height and run up.

Good Analysis.
Gambhir, Sehwag, Yuvraj, Dhoni needs to be replaced now.

Dhoni is the reason why Yuvraj got prompt call back in the test team. This is a national team and the captain needs to be responsible enough and pick team on merits and not based on his personal relationship with certain players..

I like your assessment apart from one player. Asswin does not deserve to be in the team for his bowling. BCCI can't keep nurturing dismal failures like Asswin for too long. Time for him to change his role to a batsman or he should be replaced by a quality spin bowler ... do we have one?

Ashwin could put his head down and bat. They can get Monty or Mrauali to train him.

I was having this exact discussion on another thread ... so I quote from there:
there were many spinners before who come with quaint styles and take wickets in a burst in their first few matches... does not prove he has the skills of a good off spinner for an international level Test match.... if he has opened batting in domestic matches then he should be at-least batting at 3 or 4...like shane watson... he is selected to serve as a bowler, if he does not perform our already weak bowling is weakened further... in the case of batting he is not required or if he does not perform he is not going to be asked questions as to why he did not perform with the bat... a true performer plays under pressure and beats it with skill...with batting he does not have anything at stake.. will he blamed for our dismal batting performance? never... for bowling ..yes..

Players to be dropped
by cc man on Dec 08, 2012 11:50 PM  | Hide replies

1.Zaheer - the jogger, useless and over hype since 4 yrs
2.Ishant - the brainless,way war,single dimensional hard working bowler
3.Yuvraj - unlucky compared to dhoni
4.Dhoni - the most lucky person who became just because of captaincy and far less contribution in other aspects

Zaheer Bowled a Beauty earlier on to Cook and Pujara dropped the easy catch.

Ishant became his own enemy after he dropped a Caught & Bowled chance off cook.
