No sir while I appreciate his contribution , we had Dravid ,Laxman ,Sachin ,Zaheer ,Shewag ,Gautam ,Harbahajn at their best - also we were capatapulated to the level after a large number of home series or SL or BD visits or WI . Please do not read too much on number one even then we did not have the skill to excel in all conditions - do you forget Saurav walked away from Nagpur test .Atleast those players mentioned then were good in our conditions - which is not the case - it is trash like IPL which gives them millions and millions -so what is the need to develop skills which is difficult .GREED is the word for the current situation .Do you think world over players are fools to leave cricket at 30 -35 , so let us be realistic Greed bring Grief (ofcourse to public)

MeetFireWithFire
Indian cricket hitting new lows
by MeetFireWithFire on Dec 09, 2012 11:20 AM

The way Ojha projected about Monty's speed (95kmph) appeared to be a new arsenal in the history the game and current Indian spinners are novice to that.

However, we have seen Anil Kumble bowling more than 100 kmph when required.

Having Kumble as a spin bowling consultant may have been fruitful.

There is no point in talking about Indian fast bowling as India NEVER in the 80 year cricketing existence have created any bowler with average less than 25.

People always fume about Indian pitches for India not producing great fast bowlers. Should this be correct, how come Pakistan and Sri Lanka were able to produce quality fast bowlers whose is average less than 25?

It is really baffling to make a comment that MSD has. MSD has demanded for rank turners openly in media which only helped England rather than India. It is even more painful when MSD made such comments even after an Indian win at Motera. Yes it is true that home advantage is crucial. It should not be at the expense of denting Indian batsmen’s confidence.

Traditionally at least Indian batting at home would click. After MSD's demand for rank turners (even after a win at Motera) and lack of intensity, Indian batting has reached to new lows where any Indian fan may not have witnessed ever in history.

is the worst captain. Even Geoffrey Boycott's grandmother could do better captaincy than him.

tendya in dressing room.
by solid singh on Dec 09, 2012 11:14 AM

Gavaskar , Manjrekar Sahstri & likes have been talking about how sachin's presence in the dressing room is still required.

what he has doen is that sehwags, ghambhirs , yuvrajs & kohli's are playing like him. one 50 in 10-12 innings & faliure in others. This ensures that they retain their palce in the team , like the great Tendya has been doing it for years - after 2000 in particular.

it is people like him who with their such statements are coming in the way of Sachin's exit.
" Why pick on him , who has scored. He has given 23 glorious years of his career."

He never said the same about Dravid & laxman after disaster in Eng & Aus last year. Or does he mean that Dravid & Laxman did not give Glorious years to cricket. If they had got the entry at the age of 16 , the no of playing years would have been more against their name too.

the selectors are to be blamed.
by Manoj poojary on Dec 09, 2012 10:08 AM

they shud actually pick a sensible team for test rather then sustain with dhoni, yuraj and tendulkar who arent in their best of technique for test.how can they just select on the basis of status.Mr sandeep patil n co have played several test and odi for india and its phatetic they cannot think at least now after losing three test match that they need to include new players like mishra, tiwary, murali vijay, badrinath etc there are many pujaras waiting for chances.

THink hard
by Sudarshan Nityananda on Dec 09, 2012 10:04 AM

YUvi and Kohli have to really analyse why a bowler Ashwin has a better run aggregate than they have after 3 Tests. Sachin could also wonder how Ashwin has pleyed more deliveries than he has in the series.
